Review of Meier Audio Corda JAZZ with ƒƒ-technology upgrade
I'm looking at the Jazz for my HE-500s and while the technology is impressive, I'm concerned about the audible distortion one poster measured past 3 o'clock on both gain settings, as well as the headroom that would be available since I listen to a lot of orchestral and jazz.- Cornu Ammonis

Meier Corda, Audeze Deckard, or Matrix M-stage
I don't mind at all; I had actually considered that but only if (when?) I get an HE-6 as a package, otherwise it just seems a little impractical since it's so big. If I could find some 'scope measurements of it I'd feel more comfortable.- Cornu Ammonis

Meier Corda, Audeze Deckard, or Matrix M-stage
I'm trying to decide between the Corda Classic FF, Corda Jazz FF, Audeze Deckard, or the Matrix M-Stage HPA-3U that the Deckard is based on. I have Hifiman HE-500s and Noble Djangos, but I have an Oppo HA-2SE for the latter and that I would use as a DAC for the models listed above with no...- Cornu Ammonis

IEMs that sound like orthos?
I recently purchased the hifiman HE-500 after years exclusively using my UE TF10s and I was completely blown away by the sheer superiority in every quality of sound I could imagine. My biggest concern with my purchase is that I can't listen to the HE-500 on-the-go, but I am sad to say that I...- Cornu Ammonis

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
Quote: Quote: +1 to you both. I haven't used a multimeter since I was a kid, so I'll have to pick one up or borrow it from my physics lab. I think I'll substitute electrical tape for heat shrink just to make the next inevitable repair easier. I swear, I run...- Cornu Ammonis

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
Quote: I've had mine for about a week, now, and I've just encountered the same problem. Would you happen to know of a guide on how to go about performing the same repair?- Cornu Ammonis

Absolute cheapest amp for HE-500
Without getting into the details, I'm looking to buy the Hifiman HE-500, but my current amp (a DIY cmoy) is clearly insufficient. I'm looking for an amp or DAC/amp for under $200 that can at least passably serve to power the HE-500 until I can afford a better setup. I actually preordered the...- Cornu Ammonis
