The Sennheiser HD580 Impressions Thread
Ah alright what you said makes sense. I was thinking of what you said as plugging in direct to the speaker outs But I'm not sure how true it is that "most" receivers power the headphone outs through the same amp with the addition on resistors in the line These 2 posts would probably...- kiljim

The Sennheiser HD580 Impressions Thread
All receivers will have a separate amp for the headphone out Powering them with the speaker amp portion is like connecting your headphones to the speaker outs, which will blow them- kiljim

Monster Turbine Challenge - Reviewers Wanted!
Sounds interesting! My preference lean towards slightly forward and lush sounding earphones. A decent amount of bass needs to be present (at least). I am extremely sensitive to sibilance so overly bright and even slightly sibilant earphones do not go well for me. Currently have a...- kiljim

Newbie here. Just bought a Denon AH D2000.
Will definitely take more than your normal earbuds They'll sound softer, then you have to turn the volume up then it takes more battery If you don't need to, you probably don't wanna use them on your PSP for games, unless you have lots of battery i guess- kiljim

Hooking a subwoofer with a stereo amp? Parasound Zamp
I'm using a Parasound Zamp v2 right now with some bookshelf speakers Would like to add a subwoofer to the setup, but there aren't any sub-outs on the amp. Is there anyway to hook up a powered sub? The only open jacks seem to be a pair of loop out- kiljim
