Yes the 598's don't need a lot of power but if you ever end up getting other cans that do you might need a bigger amp.  I would suggest the Schiit Asgard.  I got it hooked up to mine and love it.

I just got the Asgard for my HD 598 and it was the best purchase I've ever made. And from what I've read it's also powerful enough to drive your other headphones. Just not the balance ones.

Well it looks like I've narrowed it down to the D2000's and the M-50's I've heard great things about both but have no real experience with either of them.
