AKG K702 Headband mods
If you're truly looking for something truly neutral within a reasonable price range then I'd recommend the Dt 48 E's by Beyer. I can't speak for the comfort, but at least they have a more mainstream headband design, and produce an extremely analytical sound, so if these are for work purposes...- tracylynn MkII

Quick query over Beyer cables
Are the DT250 cables fully replaceable with DT150/100 cables, as the images seem the same but have a different name on the beyer website. I say this because I'd love the 1.5m straight cables on ebay for the DT150's on the 250's, and was wondering if anyone was knowledgeable on the situation, as...- tracylynn MkII

UK 2012 Head-Fi Meet - September 15th Cambridgeshire.
Seeing all this high level gear makes me think someone should show headfiers how to get good sound from an amp/phones on a uni student budget! :P- tracylynn MkII

Will a portable CD player ever sound as good as FLACs off a laptop or is it just being brought along for portability reasons?- tracylynn MkII

If I can make it I would bring the E7+E9 Amp combo, AKG K702's and Goldring DR-150 maybe as it seems you already have the k550's attending :P- tracylynn MkII

Review by 'tracylynn MkII' on item 'AKG K 550'
When I first came back home to this package, I couldn't wait to see what AKG had done this time for one of their fans. Quickly plugged it into the e7+e9 alongside the K702's and started up the music. My first thoughts were that the detail and clarity of the 702's wasn't there, but then I...- tracylynn MkII

Shipping in general
Being a resident of the United Kingdom, there are many MANY times where I would much rather purchase from the US (which is like a world where everything is 50% off compared to here :P). The problem that is of course put in place by the UK to make us pay exorbitant costs for our goods makes...- tracylynn MkII

It's about 5mm at the thickest, but must flatten when pressed against my head, so it isn't causing any side effects on the 'phones headband's stress that I can see. And by trimming do you mean in the sense of making it thinner or cutting through where the ridges would be situated or...- tracylynn MkII

AKG K702 Headband mods
Fresh out of the box I loved these things, everything was right about them, comfort was fine and they rested very lightly on the ears. Headband isn't that bad I thought...hours later I start getting a headache which gets worse and worse. Eventually I decide to call it a day and go to sleep. ...- tracylynn MkII
