Up for the question. Is the headphone amplifier inside the accuphase powerfull, transient and sufficient for a pair of good open headphones?

I have benchmark dac1 pre and it is rather good.Only thing missing is the remote control

I think jack of all trades are the Sennheiser HD-650, i am very satisfied with them

Why dont you try one pair of gaming headphones instead? I can suggest the Razer Τiamat 7.1 headphone which is about to come.If i was a gamer i would choose something like that.If you go to their site you will also see some 7.1 soundcards for the headset.It looks promising i guess

i am a regular reader of the forum but never attempted to participate. Our wallet is draining out really fast! I am thinking of selling both matrix mini-i and the tivoli audio set plus the subwoofer, so my budget would be aprox 600euros or $700, the xtz mh-800 is exactly at that price range.
