i bought the samson sr850 instead of the a40's to go along with the astro mixamp what do you guys think? should i have shelled out the extra 60 or so dollars for the a40's or are they overpriced?

i just ordered the sr850's to use with the astro mixamp for xbox360!   i would post a review but i don't know anything about headphones and i only have a cruddy hd218 to compare it to, so i wont bother you guys.

i'm not sure if i can do this. if i cannot is there some kind of device that would let me do it? maybe a headphone amp with eq or some kind of external eq device?   anyone know of any products that could help me?

is the astro mixamp really an amp or just for dolby headphone?  astro says nothing in the description saying it enhances audio. they just talk about dolby headphone and the chat and audio mix capability.  

what are your impressions of these headphones? which has better sq, clarity, soundstage, balanced sound?
