Well that's not good. Thank you for giving a different opinion. I can't justify spending $250 on hps that aren't all around "better" than the ones I already have. I realize better is different for everyone but I don't have the money to just get a pair and not like them.

I use flac, 320, and all that fun stuff. Honestly though, I mostly listen to exfm when at my computer. Not sure what the quality, probably not great but has any song I  want to listen to. 

So I think I'm going to break down and buy these. However, I need some input. How is the bass compared to the ATH m50s? I want to feel the bass not just hear the punch. Also, comfort is extremely important to me. How are the highs, and mids, etc. Basically your overall opinion on the hp. 

I saw on an old forum that you also had the ATH pro700mk2. How would you compare those to the two other choices? 

How would you compare the beyerdynamic dt770 to the m audio q50?

Let me ask you this then, what is the advantage of the 80ohm version versus the 250ohm version? I know one can be more easily driven than the other, however, I only use my headphones at my desk and have a home stereo receiver to power them. So would it make any difference? 

Would the Beyerdynamic DT 770 be any competition compared to the ones on your list? Also, what is the difference between the pro and standard versions?

I'm looking for a semi-budget friendly replacement for my m-50s. I've always heard that for low to mid end headphones v moda was the way to go for bass. I just don't want to sacrifice sound quality for bass. What are some other options that you think would be better?

I've had my m-50s for a year now and absolutely love them, I use them easily 6-7 hours a day. My only complaint is that they are kind of lacking bass to me. I use my pioneer receiver as an amp and have it cranked almost always so simply turning them up isn't a solution. Then I saw V-moda came...

the audio sources range from 192kps to lossless. I read that the E7 is good for a bass booster and good for equalizing bad quality music.

First off, Will an e7 even be worth the money if i'm going to run my M-50 through a home stereo receiver. Secondly, is it possible to run the e7 as a DAC and still use the receiver and not the line out on my comp? If so, how? Please post with your thoughts becasue i just can't wrap my mind...

Which has the best overall sound quality and which has the better "sounding" bass? Also, would a small amp help with bringing out the low end?

Which has the overall best quality and sound, however, bass is very important as is distortion at high volumes. I would be running these through a home audio receiver. PLEASE post, I'm dead-locked between these two!

Also, the phones HAVE to have a 1/4 plug, just not a fan of the adapters
