    PS1000 Impressions Thread

Quote:   The PS1000 sounded a little boomy at the very beginning, but that was all.  It was all love after that.  Keep listening to them, they might grow on you, or not :(.  The RS1 are  still a very solid pair of cans, glad to hear you're enjoying them.

    PS1000 Impressions Thread

Count me in.  It would be awesome if you could listen to your PS1000 in the afterlife (assuming there's any)   I agree Grado can do more on the comfort department, but the PS1000 never felt bad on my head.  Maybe we are the minority on this, but they seem to clamp just fine.  I do start...

    PS1000 Impressions Thread

This is very true.  It seems almost like you have to choose sides on some of these forums.  The sad thing is that people new to the headphone world will see these postings and never even think of giving headphones like the PS1000 a chance.  I've actually seen several head-fiers dismissing the...

    PS1000 Impressions Thread

Just finished listening to "Combat Rock" by The Clash on my PS1000 for the first time, and Joe Strummer sent a shiver down my spine when he sang "Straight to Hell"...I love these headphones.

    PS1000 Impressions Thread

Glad to see some PS1000 love! I got mine 6 months ago and love them.  Unfortunately due to lack of funds I haven't been able to buy a decent amp, although I'm saving to get the WA 6SE by the end of the year.  I recently heard the LCD-2s at a local meet and based on all the raving on these forums...

    NoVa/DC area meet 2/20/11 impressions

Any weekend will work for me.  If we go for the library again we might wanna plan ahead so we reserve a bigger room.   I haven't bought anything myself, except the JMoney headband for my PS1000

    Northern Virginia/DC Meet: February 20th

Thanks to everybody that showed up, it was a good meet.  I do agree it was a little tight, but next time we'll know better and should have more time to book a bigger room at the library (or anywhere else).  Thanks funkymonkcp for the pics.   Any candidate dates for the next meet?

    Northern Virginia/DC Meet: February 20th

Quote: Hi Alex, if you do call the library, would you mind asking about the Group Study Room?...Apparently there's this study room that accommodates 6 people, but you can only reserve by calling (not online).  I'm thinking it would be great if we can reserve it from 3 pm to 5pm, which...

    Northern Virginia/DC Meet: February 20th

So I was afraid one conference room wouldn't be enough for all of us and our equipment.  I reserved another room just in case, however it's only available from 1 to 3 pm.  Now we have one room from 1 to 5 pm, and one more from 1 to 3 pm.

Interest Check: Maryland/Jersey/Pennsylvania/Virginia Central East Coast Meetup?

So the Fairfax City library accepted my request.  I have a conference room reserved for Sunday, February 20th from 1 to 5 pm.  It's not a huge room, but it has a large meeting table and it can accommodate 10-12 people, which is probably more than what I think will show up.   Now, if people...

Hey guys,   I placed a request for a conference room at the Fairfax City library between 1pm and 5pm. on Sunday 20th (unfortunately the 19th was all full).  I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I hear back.

If we get enough people I think we could reserve a meeting room at the Fairfax County Library:   http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library/services/meetingrooms/
