"Gear_City" Power Cables - made to length ebay seller.
Enjoy your fake, and illegal Oyaide copies, these Hongkong sellers have so much front, I wouldn't buy any thing that came out of Hong Kong, it's all a big scam. They don't care when your house burns down and your insurance company don't pay out due to tatty dangerous cables fitted to illegal... -
Edwards Audio HA1 - new to me!
A late reply My friend recently bought one with the matching PSU, based on my brief experience of this amp, I would describe the sound as pacey, punchy, and damn quick, if you crave smoothness and warmth I would say it doesn't offer that kind of presentation, instead if you like a fast...- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
I've now tried a number of these audio players, Foobar, Musicbee, album player, pureplayer, jie extreme, aimp 3.5, pot player, I've gone through most of them now. I'm beginning to come to the conclusion some mild form of trickery is going on here. It's like a CD player should output 2.2v...- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
Have you tried the pureplayer from Greece drez? Another good sounding player, but again I have the same problem with all these 'better' sounding players and that is that they all have some kind of inconvenience associated with them which is a bit off putting for regular usage.- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
Jie Extremes latest version is sounding pretty good! But I still can only play one track at a time, maybe my PC spec is too low, dunno. That Foobar copy also has a much more open and detailed sound than that latest foobar player, what's going on there? why does it sound different It is...- starmouse

USB cables with isolated power conductor
A friend of mine has some of those Acoustic Revive USB cables, man were they good, but too rich for me sadly. I dont know what kind of fairy dust was going on, but they sounded mighty fine. -
Oyaide HPC-SE cables for Shure SE535 Ltd earphones?
Personally I think Oyaide range of cables are the best, they use Furukuwa copper which is a guarentee of their quality, I use Oyaide where ever possible. -
ESMOOTH - Gorgeous headphones...
I've heard these headphones ES-821, to be frank the only thing in their favor is the looks, apart from that it's all down hill. The cable supplied is too short, I suppose you could say it's fine from your pocket to your ears, but if you want to listen at home I found the cable far to short. Now...- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
Thank you, I have just retried to run the BAT file as administrator but it still only plays one track at a time Could it because my music is on a network server and not on my local machine?- starmouse

Foobar 2000 Screenshot Thread
Here is my very basic KISS Foobar, there are no flashing lights, no art work, no lyrics, not even a volume control. Everything is controlled by FoorbarCon on a Nexus 7 tablet.- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
I've just downloaded version 2.4.4 as I cant see a later version. Again I find my opinion is that this player gives me far greater listening pleasure than Foobar, I'm finding the sound to be very crisp and clear in the treble, Foobar in comparison sounds out of focus slightly. But the...- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
I understand where you are coming from and your desire for the best possible sound, I just think as it is the pool of potential users is going to be minute due to the issues I have raised, no FLAC, 8gb of memory, and I think you've lost 95% of potential users. Purely on sonic grounds, I...- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
Quote: Do you think you are limiting your players appeal to many end users? 1) Not many users have WAV files, most will have FLAC. 2) 8GB is quite a lot of memory. It has good potential, but I think you really are limiting it's appeal at the moment.- starmouse

Jie Extreme Player 2.7.2 released
I thought I would download this player and give it a try. Firstly I found it a bit confusing, where it mentions system requirements it mentions minimum of 8GB of memory, well, I am running Windows 8 but with 6GB, I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, which I'll come back to later. ...- starmouse
