USB to SDIF(optical) converters?
My Emotiva Stealth DC-1 external sound card USB port stopped working some years ago, so I have been using the optical port ever since. I need a new computer and don't think new motherboards come with SPDIF out. Anyone ever use a USB to SPDIF(optical) converter? I could use it to get optical to...- GerGa

Emotiva Stealth DC-1 DAC
Hi guys, I've had a couple issues with my DC1. I bought mine in 2013 and over a year ago it had display issues and Emotiva found a loose ribbon connector and failing usb IC. They seated the ribbon connector and replaced the CM6631A IC. Now I just found it with the display off and it was not...- GerGa

Familiarize me with RCA plugs that are tight
Hey I have an RCA cable I bought from monoprice that I run from my Emotiva stealth DC1 to my subwoofer, but the plug is really loose at the sound card and pulls out easily. Apparently there are locking plugs? I've never had any of those. Should I build a cable or buy a made up one? Looking...- GerGa

Need an RCA to 2.5mm pigtail.
Hi, I am looking for a stereo RCA male cable to female RCA cable taht is around 10 or 12" long. I couldn't find one in that length on monoprice. Not sure where to find something like this. FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread
There is like a half second delay when I click on artist to clicking on artist, album, etc. Or clicking through folders, or changing screen view from "now playing" to main menu, etc. It's not that bad but slower than the quick Sandisk Sansa and Apple Ipods. Those were near instant I'd say.- GerGa

FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread
Hi guys, I notice that the gapless playback on the X5 2nd gen is a setting. Are there any limitations? I am a bit confused as to why gapless is not just a default capability in all portable audio players, but I'm no expert on them.- GerGa

Are there headphones that work with glasses?
I have metal frames. Not really small but not big. They don't lay down too close to my head though. I think glasses that have arms that lay close to the head would help. Just tried on the AKG 702. It is not that bad but the way it presses on my glasses is annoying.- GerGa

Are there headphones that work with glasses?
Hey guys I was wondering if there are any decent headphones that I can wear while wearing glasses? These over ear headphones seem like they might not work. How do these speakers look for nearfield listening
It looks like the minidsp needs to be connected to a computer to use it? I was about to buy power monitors and preamp(dacmagic plus)..until I realized I couldn't use the DACmagic plus without a computer. I may sometimes want to use my system with an MP3 player as source, and a computer...- GerGa

How do these speakers look for nearfield listening

How do these speakers look for nearfield listening
I am not sure what sub. i have to do research on the nature of different sub's crossovers. It is hard to find a receiver or amplifier with internal crossover that doesn't cost 700 or doesn't have cheapish components like an affordable 5 or 7 channel receiver. So I am thinking of plugging the...- GerGa

How do these speakers look for nearfield listening
