Hi,
I am making up a cable to run from the subwoofer pre-out rca's on the back of the headunit in my car to the trunk where the amp will be. What size cable should I be using? The cable length will be 15 feet I would guess. I have worked with Mogami 2893 26awg quad cable before, is 2534 24awg quad cable big enough or do I need a larger gauge for this long run?

Thanks

A star-quad cable is for XLR balanced interconnects in a noisy environment (like near a theater lighting system).
For long RCA unbalanced interconnects (well more than 10 feet) you want a coax cable with a heavy braided shield.
One like the Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 which is at the sweet spot in price and quality.
For the center conductor, 26AWG is fine. If it was much smaller there might be mechanical problems.
