Any Opinions on mifo FiiTii HiFiFree Wireless Headphones?

Has anyone tried the mifo FiiTii HiFiFree Wireless Headphones? These are over the ear headphones that look the headphones that came with your walkman in the 80's. I have a pair JLab wireless headphons which are similar. They are just $20.00 and are super comfortable to wear, but don't deliver...

Earbuds (not in-ear) with Android Controls

So, these just came in. Very happy with the sound, and the controls work well with my Galaxy S10e. Not super duper thrilled with the braided cable, which strikes me as something of a gimmick on a $6.00 pair of headphones, but I can definitely live with it. Thanks again for the recommendation...

Earbuds (not in-ear) with Android Controls

So as best I can tell, Venture Electronics is no longer making the Monk+ earbuds with three button Android controls. I've got a few unopened sets sitting in a drawer, but eventually they'll fail. Is there anyone else out there producing a nice sounding earbud (not in-ear) with a three button...

Hi, new here and search the perfect headphones :D

The reason I ask about the audio source is because some phones support APTX whereas others do not. I recently bought a set of Sennheiser MM450's on eBay for $60, mistakenly thinking I was buying a set of Sennheiser MM450-X. The 450s don't support APTX, whereas the 450X do. If you've got an...

Please recommend earbuds with Android controls.

Thanks for that! Just ordered a pair from a place called "Venture Electronics." Paid a couple of bucks extra to have them shipped from their U.S. warehouse, so it's supposed to be here in 5-10 days. Looking forward to hearing them.

Please recommend earbuds with Android controls.

Hello, hoping someone can help me here. Looking for a set of earbuds that meet four requirements: 1) They must be earbuds, not in-ear, and small enough to fit into a pants pocket. Nothing with a headband. 2) They must be wired. No Bluetooth headphones. Nothing that needs to be recharged. 3)...

    Earbuds Round-Up

Followup on the SHE 3800:   I took a set of foams I had and cut a hole in the middle. Definitely improves the upper registers. A recommended mod.   Also, tonight I tried them side by side against my Sennheiser MX580's. The Sennheisers are the phones I keep by my bedside and listen to when I...

    Earbuds Round-Up

Looks like I ordered it Feb 22. So mine took about a week to get here. I guess your mileage may vary.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Just got the Phillips SHE 3800. They were so absurdly cheap (at $3.21) I felt silly ordering just one, so I bought two:   https://www.fasttech.com/product/1460600-philips-she3800-3-5mm-earphone   Let me just say that I'm blown away! I can't imagine there's a better price/performance ratio...

Reply to review by 'dsf3g' on item 'Harman Kardon BT'

I've got a pair of these also. Bought the wired version after hearing them in an Apple store, then bought the Bluetooth version some time later when I find them selling for almost nothing refurbished on eBay. They're the best sounding headphones i own. But there's one huge fault to these: the...

How well You hear audio Quality?

I think part of the problem is that, to the extent that different compression schemes color the music (as opposed to producing bad sounding artifacts like skips or crackle), you personally might actually *prefer* the sound of the lower bitrate encoded file.   Years ago, I boldly proclaimed on...

    High End Bluetooth Headphones

Not sure if these are "high end" wnough for this thread, but does anyone have any opinion of the Harman Karndon Soho Wireless headphones? I have a pair of HK BTs and really, really like the sound (they're the best sounding of my collection of admittedly entry-level audiphile headphones) but they...

What are head-fi members views on apt-x lossless codec (over bluetooth)?

I'd like to add a note or two to this discussion.   I'm an Adroid phone owner, and pretty for a while now have only bought Adroid phones with APTX built in. These include HTC and Samsung models, the most recent being a Galaxy Note 3.   I was first intrigued by the APTX codec when I traded in...

Scored a deal (Harman Karndon CL)d

I wasn't intending to buy a pair of headphones tonight. I left the house intending merely to listen to some. Well, in all honestly, I left the house intending to listen to one pair in particular. A couple of weeks ago I dropped by the Apple Store and stated listening to a few of the headphones...

Converting MP3 to Flac good or bad idea?

Quote: Too much room for fudging there. I can see potential problems with everything from possible differences in the volume levels of your encoded tracks, to the statistical significance of your results.  To really see what you can and cannot distinguish, try Foobar on your computer with...

Why all HDMI cables are the same... from cnet news

The article is wrong. I replaced my cheap $10.00 HDMI cable with a $300.00 Parabrum Exoticom MKIV and went back and watched some of my old DVDs and suddenly all my favorite actresses were naked in some scenes in which they hadn't been naked before. I'm never going back to cheap cables.

Converting MP3 to Flac good or bad idea?

Quote:   Please describe your test. I'm suspicious of any "blind" test that doesn't involve a purpose designed ABX system like the Foobar ABX plugin.

Converting MP3 to Flac good or bad idea?

Quote: Here's a better idea. Take a CD you have, rip a song in 192k MP3 (or whatever bitrate you listen to) and then rip it again in a lossless format like FLAC. Then using a program like Foobar, do a double blind test against the files and see if you can spot the difference...

Lost my IE8s, what should I buy to replace them?

Quote:   The seal on my Turbines is decent though not as good as my Shure SCL4s... however the Turbines are much more comfortable (for me at least).      Here's a comparison of standard Monster Turbines, vs. the pricier Gold and Copper models:  ...

Lost my IE8s, what should I buy to replace them?

From comments I've read the Monster Turbine Golds might also interest you.I've got regular Monster Turbines and they're nice with good Bass punch. The Golds are uspposed to up the bass from what I've read. Isolation is so-so but can probably be improved with aftermarket foam tips.
