why dont you repair the pod? 5/5.5G are the easiest to open/repair. A new battery is like 15$ shipped on ebay. New hard drive is not cheap however, its like 100$ for 80GB but then again its cheaper than buying a 8Gb clip+ with 16GB sd card wich only gives you 24GB. Also, don't forget rockbox...

I'm not using an onboard, I said that I used both onboard and my claro halo XT in the past, right now I game on consoles. I still have the sound card however, tried to sell it in the gear forum without any luck. Well maybe consoles have onboard sound cards anyway

He never said he wanted to play games from 1998. Even todays onboard audio works just fine for recent games. Theres even some with dolby digital live and onboard optical out so you dont even need a sound card. welcome to 2010.

Just find the cheapest card with dolby digital live and thats it, you dont need anything esle for gaming.
