Yep, starts when i push them in and stop when I let go as well. Thanks for link, will check them out although I've had the same experience as you so far, the phones seem to sound the same and don't actually seem to be damaged. As for what I think of them.. I haven't had them all that...- simonlo

Crackling sound when inserting v-moda bass freqs
Bought a pair of these while on holiday, (couldnt resist, all that talk of this massive bass got me curious!) and when I insert them into my ears I hear a sort of crisp-packet crackling sound.. Is this normal and are the drivers getting damaged at all? I live in the UK so not sure if there...- simonlo

IEM/earphone version of Koss Portapros needed
Hi guys, Basically looking for a earphone/IEM version of the Koss PortaPro's. I've been reading up a few reviews on the Sennheiser CX300, Panasonic HJE70, Sony EX90, Moda Vibe/Bass Freq etc but haven't really been able to decide yet. The Koss 'phones have enough bass for me to never have...- simonlo

PS2: MGS2:SOL, Splinter Cell or MGS2:Substance?
I'll definitely get Splinter Cell and one of the MGS2's. Tough call between MGS's now :P £10 for SOL (2nd hand) or £32.99 for new Substance. Might have to toss a coin Nah.. I'll have to get Substance. I couldnt live with just SOL knowing that theres basically a better version in substance...- simonlo

PS2: MGS2:SOL, Splinter Cell or MGS2:Substance?
Was reading that review, nanahachi and it appears that substance is just SOL except its got some more additions to it? I thought that they were two completely different games! Hm is it worth getting substance for the new stuff?- simonlo

It took me ages to locate a rear view and I only came across it by accident. Lucky I paused for that second! The lack of a digital OUT slightly put me off as I wouldnt be able to record to Minidisc which cant be good- simonlo

Trawlerman: I'm in Reading, Berkshire so quite far away Thanks for the offer tho And I was just wondering.. this may sound stupid but just curious. I have a Plextor CD-RW drive. Thanks for ALL the replies guys, you've been a great help. I've decided not to get the Sony DAVS550, simply because I am thinking of quality. I think its time I upgraded my hifi.. no, my stereo to a better system. It seems the DAVS550 does not have such a high fidelity sound (I didnt expect it...- simonlo

Yeah only £350 and thats multi-region as well. Without, its only £300 Anyway, been doing some heavy research on the internet and it seems that if i dont get a LCD screen with the correct inputs I would need a converter box to convert the signal from the davs550 (either component or svideo i...- simonlo

Yeah, I can get the davs550 for 350GBP (547USD) so it seems a cheap and easy solution. I was wondering whether many people have had experience with this system and could post it here. If the sound quality is good then I'd definitely buy it. If not... ill look around at other systems or maybe...- simonlo

Im considering buying one of those "all-in-one" home cinema systems but wanted some general feedback about them. Are they just not worth the money (ie buy separates instead)? I (think i) know(!) that separates will generally thrash any all-in-one player but theres the hassle of buying...- simonlo

Samsung YP30SH?
Hi all! Anyone have anything to say on this unit? Seems quite good to me. Very small, 128mb memory (enough memory for me), and apparently good sound quality. Battery life is a bit on the short side but that doesnt worry me too much. So does anyone own one of these units? Any good?- simonlo
