$200 Budget -- Are monitors the way to go?

Hey guys & gals,   Looking to upgrade my current laptop speakers in the near future. Currently I've got a set of Logitech Z-4's that are a step up from my laptop speakers, but aren't really doing what I'm looking for (I mostly listen to music and watch the occasional movie).   I've got a...

    $180-240 Range

I've got a trusty pair of HD280s but I'm starting to crave more. Just curious what you all would recommend in the $180-240 price range. A pair of Grados? Some Beyerdynamics? More Senns? Don't really know the popular models now a days Anywho, thanks for the suggestions! Edit: Suppose I...

Looking for a sub $100 closed headphone

I have a pair of 280s that I use for listening to music as well as gaming. My musical tastes are all over the spectrum and the 280s sound vibrant and full in everything I listen to. These are my first "real" pair of headphones but I'm not disapointed in the least. As the others have said, yes...

Modern rock so bad, kids turning to "classic rock"...

I'm 17 at the moment and I'm a straight up Music-holic. The way I see, there can be beauty in any genre, any artist, any style of music. At the end of the day, there's just something "true" about music and restricting yourself to one genre or segregating based on age is silly and trivial...

How do you organise digital music?

Looking for good ways to get all my music in some order so that I can easily get to it. At the moment I'm doing folders by Genre->Artist->Album. I'm finding it takes a lot of "digging" though. Any advice?

    Tool

I've got an album or two of theirs from my friend but I'm having a bit of trouble "getting" them. Something is not just not quite clicking. I am hearing how everyone is saying they are amazing but I don't really think I'm in the right frame of mind to understand what "its all about". Can...

What are the top albums of 2005 (so far)?

Props to Out of Exile (Audioslave), Mesmerize (SOAD), and Get Behind Me Satan (The White Stripes). I'm gonna go check out Illinois as everyone here is raving for it

    Help Me Modernize My Music!

Try the White Stripes. If you want rougher rock go with "White Stripes". "White Blood Cells" and "Elephant" have a much more refined sound (its still rock though ). "Get Behind Me Satan" and "De Stijl" both have some mellower stuff. Cheers!

    Maybe Need New Player!

I decided on the extra warrenty if anyone is curious. Figure that loads of people have complained about some Creative products (headphone ports etc) so I might as well play it on the safe side.

    Maybe Need New Player!

Buying another HD won't really fly for me. Besides, I need to justify getting a new player (at least to myself) Anywho, what do you all think about getting the extra warrenty from Creative?
