Wondering how the PS500s stack up against other, more popular buys in the $500-700 region, HE-500s, Beyer T90, Sennheiser HD650/HD700, Denon D5000. And to some extent slightly higher priced headphones like the T1 and HD800 (T1 you can get for almost $700 used).   Just curious as I'm thinking...

I've had my FiiO E10 for a while now and It's genuinely fantastic, but I'm looking to upgrade to something with more oomph to hopefully power better headphones down the line (hopefully LCD-2s and such), if I was to get a little dot mark 2 or 3, could I use the FiiO E10 DAC and the preamp? I've recently saved enough money to buy something relatively good with a budget of $500-750, $750 being the maximum I can go. Unfortunately I don't have a very powerful amplifier, just a FiiO E10 that I've had for a year or so, I do love it though, but I've been told to get the best headphone...

Just curious to see if anyone else wears open headphones outside, when on trains and whatnot I usually keep my music low to not bother others.

Which do you think would be the best for HE-300s, FiiO E10 or Little Dot I+? DAC would be my motherboard or Xonar DG if I choose  the Little dot. Thanks!

Quick question, I heard the DT-990 Pro 250s  lacked a large amount of mid frequency with a harsh V-curve, would acoustic songs/mid-heavy music play poorly on these? Thanks.

Sometimes having a good looking pair of headphones is important but cheap good looking cans are quite few and far between, I'd like to see what you guys think are some good looking yet affordable headphones (affordable as in, <$100).   I think the ZX500s are fine specimens.    

I keep hearing people say that Grados are very niche sounding headphones, but do they have a sole purpose music genre wise? 

Would it be possible to wear these cans in a public place on a low/medium volume without disturbing everyone?

I'll be buying the DT-990 Pro 250ohm cans in a week or so and have £70 of my budget ($100ish) to go into an AMP/DAC or combination if at all possible, so far all I see in the price range for both is the E10 or E7 if I wanted just the AMP (unsure on if the DAC will give me a quality boost...
