Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Just a quick update; I ran the tubes for about 10 or so hours today and the hum is much quieter already! So far, so good :)- GravitySmacked

Sorry for the late reply, my email notification isn't working for some reason. I go them straight from the source, 2 or 3 years ago: http://www.ttvjaudio.com/TTVJ_Flat_Pads_p/aat0000100.htm- GravitySmacked

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Thanks for replying :) Does this apply to 'old' new tubes? These were supposedly made in the 60's. Also do I need to have music playing through them or is just having them switched on enough when burning in? Sorry for the stupid questions.- GravitySmacked

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Hi folks, Could do with some advice please. I bought the following EF95 tubes for my Little Dot Mk1+ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251789963059?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT However I've noticed a reasonably loud humming noise coming from them even with the volume on...- GravitySmacked

Thanks for your reply gibosi; I'll take a good look at those links. I've also been looking at these, which may well be to my taste, after reading the guide at the beginning of the thread...- GravitySmacked

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Total noob here when it comes to tubes. I would appreciate opinions on these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251789963059?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and whether they're a decent upgrade from the standard Little Dot 1+ tubes? I listen to pretty most music genres but...- GravitySmacked

I upgraded from some SR60i's to my 325e's over Christmas and I'm loving every minute of them. I have changed the pads to my trusty TTVJ flats though, as I find they bring out more of the bass and I prefer them for comfort.- GravitySmacked

Planning to get Grados SR 80, have a few questions.
I don't think you would enjoy Grado's on the train or anywhere there is a lot of background noise. I don't enjoy wearing mine at home when the kids are noisy or the TV is on but when it's quiet they're musical bliss.- GravitySmacked

SR60-Mod part II
Folks is there any benefit of adding a tube headphone amp into the below mix? I'm currently running my SR60i's straight from my Creative X-Fi soundcard. I modded the op-amps to give a warmer sound but having listened to tube amps in the past I'm curious to know if one would help if I run it...- GravitySmacked

Grado modders go Magnum
Quote: I'll have to keep a look out for a cheap set of second hand SR60's then. I've already got some SR60i's with a nice leather headnad and some flats and I love the sound; I wouldn't want to mess around with that set. Quote: I guess it's a similar experience...- GravitySmacked
