Looking for office stereo advice
Thanks for the suggestions. That’s a second for Foobar2000, so I’ll definitely look into that and using iTunes would certainly be a convenient option. I wasn’t sure if using my computer would be the best solution sonically for moving the music from the HDD to the DAC or if I should use another...- Hoshyoto

I haven’t heard of MusicBee before, so I will definitely check it out Thanks! As I mentioned in my response toSonic Defender, I think my post title was a little confusing. I edited it to try and make it more clear that I am interested in hardware solu as well as software. Thanks for pointing it...- Hoshyoto

Looking for office stereo advice
Thanks for the suggestions! I haven’t used either of those before so I will definitely look into them. I‘m definitely open to a software solution, although I am also open to a hardware option as well. I edited my post title to make it less confusing.- Hoshyoto

Looking for office stereo advice
Howdy, Like many, I’m now working from home on a regular basis instead of in an office. I’ve decided to put together a desktop audio system to use while I’m working. I‘ve figured out all of the pieces except one. I will be using a 1 TB HDD , a Schiit Modi3 DAC, a Schiit Vali 2 headphone amp...- Hoshyoto

V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews
Is anyone familiar with V-Moda's 60 test drive policy? I am seriously considering these headphones, but there is no place in the area that I can try them out. Is it simply a matter of mailing them to V-Moda for a full refund as long as they were purchased from an authorized dealer?- Hoshyoto

hd25-1 impressions thread
I keep looking online and can't find anyplace that has it in stock. All I can find are sites with it for pre-order, shipping in "1-3 weeks", or simply out of stock.- Hoshyoto

Nicely timed on the purchase. After going up a bit to $169, they've gone all the way back to $199, although the V-80s are now down to $169.- Hoshyoto

They've already bumped back up to $169. They may drop again, but probably not very much lower.- Hoshyoto

ATH M-50 or V-MODA Lp's A good upgrade?
I tried out the LP's and was not impressed. My $12 SHE3580s had better quality and quantity of bass than the LPs. I have not tried the M50s, so I can't really give an opinion on them. As far as the M-80s go there is a thread with a lot of discussion on them that also talks about the LPs and...- Hoshyoto

There was an open box that I pulled the headphones out of and tried while I was there. I wasn't impressed enough to pick them up, even at the discounted rate, but I figured at about $40 under the current Amazon price it was worth mentioning.- Hoshyoto

The discovery thread!
I picked up the SHE 3580s this week. I had a couple pair of $100+ earphones, but they broke on me just over a year after buying them. Since then I've limited myself to $20ish sets. After buying these I decided to try them out with Josh Groban's "Your Raise Me Up" to see if they were anything...- Hoshyoto

Ok, I bit the bullet and ordered the shure e3's. I was going to get the e2's, but for $149+tax, I figured what the heck. Thank you very much for all your advice and help. Hopefully Joe Bloggs is right and I won't need to reencode all my aac128s. Now if I could get any of you to head over...- Hoshyoto
