Annoying issue with MDR-V6
I love these headphones, but I keep getting a crackle/popping sound coming from the left headphone. This happens only when I put them on, the foam inside the left headphone gets lightly compressed by my ear, and as it expands it makes the crackle sound. I don't know why only the left headphone...- ChocolateFinger

Best gaming PC at or under $3,000?
I'd just like to pop in here and say, for no reason should you spend $3000 for a gaming pc. First off, the technology is constently updated and improved, prices drop all the time when new things come out. It would be stupid to invest so much when you can run anything on max with a budget...- ChocolateFinger

Sub $100 cans with best design/build quality?
Nice suggestions, but I want to clarify that I only want headphones that make no creaking noise when you chew, move your head, move the cord. I wish I had a store near by where I could try some on..- ChocolateFinger

Sub $100 cans with best design/build quality?
Quote: Yeah see that I can't do, the cracking. If it's just when put them on that's OK, but if I move my head around or the cord, will it make any noise? Do you own them?- ChocolateFinger

Sub $100 cans with best design/build quality?
So I am basically looking for cans that have good sound stage and are very well built. The last few sets I've tried had problems with noise from cheap plastic design/hinges and the cord making ticking noises when moved. At this point I am now willing to sacrifice sound quality and comfort for...- ChocolateFinger

Sick of buying headphones
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I understand that with my small budget I don't have that many options so after a long search I found these : http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Siberia-Full-Size-Headphones-Black/dp/B002SN9RMY Yeah they are gaming headphones. But..... The...- ChocolateFinger

Sick of buying headphones
Quote: Yeah I understand that, but some reviews say the build quality is poor, which is what I am trying to avoid mostly. I don't want the left earphone breaking in a month, or the cord breaking from light daily use. This is what I'm getting so far from the listed phones I posted.- ChocolateFinger

Sick of buying headphones
Quote: Yeah I did consider them. They are a tad too expensive for me, not really worth it as I hear the soundstage is not great. On a side note, I used to have a old old pair of Sony MDR something, I LOVED them, they felt great and sounded amazing but they were old and from like...- ChocolateFinger

Sick of buying headphones
So over the past few months I have tried out a number of headphones, all failing on me. The SR850's - Hated the pads, sock mod fixed this somewhat but the pads kept coming off, leather headband broke after a few months, I hated everything about these other then the sound quality. The...- ChocolateFinger

Superlux Express Train
Please tell me there are some cheaper velour/letherette pads out there.. I really don't want to do the sock mod, I did it for my sr850's and although it did the job, I hated the look and they kept coming off. $30 is too much for pads...- ChocolateFinger

Anyone own this amp?
http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Stereo-Headphone-Amplifier-SD-DAC63057/dp/B009WN7QT4 if so, is it any good? I've only seen one review on this website. Any dac/amp combo better for the $30 price range? No bells and whistles, just better then onboard. I've ordered this one so I'll see how...- ChocolateFinger

Buzing sound, could a amp help?
Well I ended up getting one of these: SD-DAC63057 along with a set of Superlux HD668b. Is that dac/amp any good? Also would it work with the superlux since they are 2x56 ohms?- ChocolateFinger

Buzing sound, could a amp help?
No I'm not using anything external. Just the two ports on the front of my computer and the three in the back. Also, the headphones are samson sr850 and they do not have a addapter, just a standard 3.5mm jack. I've tested them with my ipod and other computer and it's 100% my computer at fault.- ChocolateFinger

Buzing sound, could a amp help?
The front audio port on my computer is making a electric buzzing noise, 100% sure this has to do with bad grounding. The other problem is that sometimes the audio goes out, and dose not work at all. I have to unplug and replug the headphones for it to work again. The back three 3.1 ports don't...- ChocolateFinger
