Headphone case for older Joseph Grado models
Do you have a link to one that fits? I'm contemplating getting a pelican case with foam you can pick off to shape. But the case costs about half an arm. haha -
Headphone case for older Joseph Grado models
I'm wondering if there are any cases I can buy right now that will fit the older grado headphones with the wider headbands. If anyone has any recommendations, except getting on custom made at exorbitant prices, please post them here.- That dude

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
I've been recently rediscovering this hobby. I kind of moved on to speakers, but I put on my Grado HF-2 and boy did they rock. I'm sort of in the market for a new IEM, but prices, and number of drivers, these days are kind of crazy. Ah well, I'm going to go back trolling the resale forums...- That dude

Head-fi'ers in Shanghai, recommendations please!
Hey guys, I'm heading to Shanghai in November for a week long trip with completely no itinerary. Staying with a friend. Anyway, I'm looking for any recommendation for what to see, eat, buy (especially audio related paraphernalia) but also, what NOT to see, eat, buy and do. I know this is an...- That dude

Connecting a Preamp to a headphone amp, Degradation of sound quality?
^Thanks man. I realised that I could just connect my 8200CDQ to the pre in of my NAD, bypassing it's onboard pre-amp. It's sounding great. As for my headphone amp, I've tried disabling the pre amp on my player, but it sounds better turned on and set to 0db. So much for quality...- That dude

Connecting a Preamp to a headphone amp, Degradation of sound quality?
I'm thinking about buying an Audiolab 8200CDQ cause it will help keep spending to a minimum (not having to buy a DAC or Preamp), at least for my speaker set up. However, when switch over to my headphone set up, will keeping the preamp section on degrade the sound by passing the output thru 2...- That dude

Help with my K501
My AKG K501's left driver has stopped working. I don't know if it's a cable problem or a driver problem, but the right side is absolutely fine. I've called Singapore's AKG distributor and they refused to take in my headphones for repair cause it's out of production. So I'm asking around for...- That dude

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
Wow, great thread. I've been lurking since '05, joined in '06. It was really interesting seeing head-fi become what it is today, who'd have thought a niche headphone hobby would get so popular? Haha.- That dude

HELP! My triple.fi 10 broke!
Didn't anyone read the update? I've gotten a replacement from logitech and I noticed that they sound different to the ones "that I've sent in". So I did not go through the UM/remolding route.- That dude

HELP! My triple.fi 10 broke!
^I'm getting what your'e saying. The first thing I noticed when I got the earphones back, the cable seemed slightly different, and it sounds really thin and "whiney". I'm guessing they messed with the cable a bit. I'm slightly ambivalent about a cable change now though. I'll definitely go the UM...- That dude

Heading to China (Dalian and Beijing), any deals?
I'm going over to china on a study trip of a whopping 7 weeks (5 in Dalian, and 2 in Beijing). I'd like to know if there are places that I should go to look for anything audio (headphones or not). I know I should be posting this on erji.net, but my mandarin (especially for the audio jargon) is...- That dude

HELP! My triple.fi 10 broke!
I've finally gotten my hands on the replacement product. I had to jump through hoops and the odd ring of fire, but eventually, Logitech came through with the replacement and even expedited it to a 2-day shipping option because of my trouble. Anyway, thanks for all your help guys!- That dude

HELP! My triple.fi 10 broke!
I recently bought the tf10 vi's through amazon and I was really enjoying them. But then, the cable broke at the 3.5mm plug. No problem, I thought, I have an extra cable, just swap them round, after all, that's the point isn't it? So i tried prying the cable off using my fingers. It didn't...- That dude
