The heavens opened and I heard the stars sing (β22 tales)
Single ended, yes. They would blow just being powered on, all it takes is that momentary short of the TRS being pulled/inserted.- naamanf

Yeah I learned the hard way on that one. Need to replace the output devices I believe, not that hard, just need to find someone with a de-solder station.- naamanf

That’s awesome, happy to see it’s still making music. I made those in Kirkuk, Iraq when I was deployed there flying combat missions. There are three others out there somewhere, hopefully still kicking as well.- naamanf

Roll Call: Who's building, built, or thinking of building a beta22?

The TRS shorts signal to ground when plugged/unplugged. If you like replacing MOSFETs go ahead and do it with the power on.- naamanf

The Sennheiser HD 800: The First Listen, The First Review
I wonder why a Honda Civic drives just fine with a canoe on the roof, but doesn't seem to pull a 35ft powerboat very well. The canoe only cost $500 vs $300K for the power boat. I don't get it, the canoe was cheaper.- naamanf

An auto alternator is a A/C generator with a simple bridge rectifier to produce DC. The Sigma22 (or any good DC PS) has a bit more going on to filter the ripple Not that I know anything of car audio.- naamanf
