Shure SE535s too loud with iOS, confused about impedance
The Shure Bluetooth cable...that makes sense. Was going to suggest trying the attenuator. Glad to see you ended up going Wired with a lightning-specific cable Side-note: I found it funny to see a complaint about SE535's being too loud on the quietest setting. Mainly because a number of Audio...- Mariano3113

Google Pixel (Phone & Audio Quality)
I am keeping the device as it the only device that fulfills the void left by 2013 Nexus 5 while being compatible with 3xCA on Sprint in same form factor. I have made the audio tweaks to get my Pixel performing adequately for me. I think normal Pixel as 5" inch device with Daydream...- Mariano3113

Stock - Pixel sounded like Bass Boost was on but definitely was not Bright Sounding. Although that was my 1st Pixel. I've RMA'D 2 Pixels because of Mic not working on phone calls. I also ordered(backed them) and will compare against Campfire Andromeda and Shure SE535. I suspect unfortunately I can only really compare against my wired IEM's as the other Bluetooth headset's I have owned are ***** for audio quality.- Mariano3113

LG V20 Sound Quality
That was the Snapdragon Aqstic variant. The 3rd Party Hi-RES issue I believe stems from coding not detecting the Auxiliary DAC. I say Auxiliary since LG makes it seem like you can turn the Quad-DAC off and use the Qualcomm DAC. Which is why I was curious as to why LG did not use the...- Mariano3113

LG V20 Sound Quality
Was it Snapdragon Note 7 with Aqstic or Exynos Note 7? 1 thing I've been noticing is 3rd party apps seem to be better at recognizing Qualcomms Aqstic 24-bit DAC in comparison to LG V20's Quad-DAC Which brings me to my next question: Did LG use the normal Snapdragon SOC DAC as fallback instead...- Mariano3113

You lost me here. You don't believe firmware (Software tweaks) can make a difference compared to turning up a analog Bass dial. Do you only use Amps that have absolutely no firmwarewre(software)? If so I would like to know which ones. Firmware/Drivers/Kernels are different than just a...- Mariano3113

I have had to RMA both an iPhone 7 and a Pixel both due to audio issues. I would like a B&O variant to compare device DAC settings to see if there is a difference between the model variants. ...any of the settings of the mixer_path.xml file or tasha_mixer_parh.xml. My LG V20 has more drive, is brighter(possibly just a more fuller range but I'm sensitive to treble, so it appears brighter to me). For OEM use S6 is fine for anything more demanding it is very hard to not recommend LGV20 & HTC 10 as a category of "Smartphones that power high impedance...- Mariano3113

To be honest the only part that is worrisome is the editing of the XML as there is a lot of lines to look at. Entertainment is a rather broad category. Google is making big promises with Daydream. In my opinion: Ordering from DHC is more akin to old skool Mastrecraftsmen orders. You get bespoke tailored goods when they are ready. I haven't had a phone where the battery was truly sealed in, yet. Some are not easily swappable, but they behave more like watches where you set time aside to disassemble and replace battery.
