Rate the video games you're currently playing
Yeah, Portal was a great game. I like puzzles in general, but Portal also had funny bits and clever obstacles. It was definitely like nothing else I had ever played at the time. A 10/10 for me.- Whitetriton

Dragon Quest 11 "Echoes of An Elusive Age" on Switch- 7/10 This game is like a tale of two halves to me. There is some pretty good storytelling and fun combat one minute and incredibly stupid/juvenile writing and frustrating combat the next. The game uses artificial challenges like taking...- Whitetriton

Do you prefer to listen to entire albums or random tracks?
When listening for pleasure, I'll load up my music library and play random songs. I never had a record player and have very limited experience with cassettes, so I have no nostalgia for listening to an entire album. In fact, I doubt I could even name five albums on which I like every track...- Whitetriton

Are the HD800/s still the kings of comfort?
Yes, I definitely meant grams and not ounces. I have corrected it in my post above. Headphone comfort is very subjective due to different head/ear sizes, amount of hair, whether one wears glasses, climate, etc and also variations between different samples of the same make/model (I demo'd a...- Whitetriton

Are the HD800/s still the kings of comfort?
...wondering if some are with the cable and some are headphones only without cable. I see some sites that suggest that the HD700 is about 270 ounces (*correction "grams") without the cable. I also see that the HD650 is about 260-270 without cable. I no longer have the HD700 but I did not...- Whitetriton

What are earpads with holes called?
I believe Dekoni audio calls their pads with holes "fenestrated." https://dekoniaudio.com/product-category/elite-fenestrated-sheepskin/ Hope that helps.- Whitetriton

Are the HD800/s still the kings of comfort?
If we're speaking strictly for comfort, my personal opinion is that the HD 700 is the most comfortable headphone I've ever worn.- Whitetriton

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
I've owned a Sonarworks headphone license for a while but just got a pair of Oppo PM-3 headphones the other day. Listening to music with Sonarworks allowed me to understand lyrics that I previously hadn't been able to. I really enjoyed that. Definite thumbs up for the PM-3.- Whitetriton

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
I second this. I purchased a used PCI version and have been very happy with the results. I've never had the PCI-E version to compare to in my rig, but with how it sounds I don't feel any need to "upgrade".- Whitetriton

Anybody figured out the new site yet?
Two questions: 1. Is anybody else seeing the odd page number layout that I'm seeing (below)? What happened to 29? Not sure if it's the site or something in my settings (Windows 7, Firefox 53.0). 2. Is there any way to turn off all the pop up deals boxes on the new, new website? I...- Whitetriton

Anybody figured out the new site yet?
Thanks AxelCloris. The largest reason why I access this site is to review threads and read ones that look interesting. The new site greatly hinders that and while there may be a benefit, it's not obvious to me what that may be. Not sure how many people feel the same. Perhaps those that are...- Whitetriton

I'd also like to report log in issues. I don't know how many times I've had to log in today, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were ten. The site logs me off often.- Whitetriton

Anybody figured out the new site yet?
If you view "New Posts" is there a cap on only showing 200 (about 4 hours worth of real time)? Or, am I not clicking on something that I should be? I like to peruse all the threads in which somebody has posted. If I find something interesting, I click on it. While their used to be a cap, I...- Whitetriton

Anybody figured out the new site yet?
I haven't quite figured out the search feature within a thread yet, so not sure if this was covered yet, but I discovered how to find the link to the "New Posts" section. From the new home page: -go to "Forums". -on right side of page below your avatar, there is a "New Posts" link with a list...- Whitetriton

Anybody figured out the new site yet?
I think there "should" be a "Go to first unread" button next to the page numbers for a thread. One issue I've had today though is that the site keeps logging me out. When that happens, there is no option to go to the first unread message. But, when I log back in, the option is next to the...- Whitetriton

So, while stumbling around I found a posting that had what I THINK is a link to the full list of new posts. I don't know how you find it without knowing where it is though. https://www.head-fi.org/f/find-new/1893/posts- Whitetriton
