The fact that the exact pictures can be found in threads on the internet dating back to 2011 does not bode well for it being a real seller.- shipsupt

Stax SR-009 Channel Imbalance Trouble / Driver Problem?
Sure it's legal. Essentially they are buying and reselling as a private entity, no different than an individual buying a pair in Japan and then selling them. Which is why the whole warranty issue is a problem for them, there is no warranty transfer. They have to approach STAX each time as...- shipsupt

When was the last time a cable discussion was brief? I agree, better to have the cable discussion in a cable thread, they'll be happy to discuss the BHSE there.- shipsupt

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
We might need some moderation here... The Gizzard has specifically requested that we not talk about the TranSIT on these internet forums? Full gag order! Last time I had contact he said that's why he's not a sponsor here. It goes without saying that the TranSIT is completely at another...- shipsupt

King Sound Emperor: New Electrostatic Headphones!
I've used the original King Sounds from several Stax amps (717, 252), Woo GES, and KGSShv with no troubles. I'll try the BHSE when it arrives, but I expect the same results, as indicated they are fine with Pro bias. They certainly sound better from all of these Amps than they do from the KS amps.- shipsupt

Stax SR-009 Channel Imbalance Trouble / Driver Problem?
In the case of PJ the service they are offering is to play middle man for access to the Japanese market. They don't stock any of these products, they just go and order whatever you're interested in direct then ship it to you. Their mark up is pretty nominal. The price break for us is all...- shipsupt

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Considerably less than $5000. Choice of some parts and chassis can have a big influence on the final price. $2500 is ball park. You could do it cheaper, and you could spend more...- shipsupt

King Sound Emperor: New Electrostatic Headphones!
Spritzer did a little modding on his first with promising results, which inspired us to try a few things. These just had a little work done on damping, mostly stuff learned from the Ortho tuners. What set them free was getting rid of the dust covers... which of course opens a can of worms, but...- shipsupt

NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC Impressions
I speculate that these DACs that are showing off pre-amp functionality are really just the result of the manufacturers realizing how good they are getting with digital volume control. My dCS is the same, the DAC came first and foremost. Great digital volume control, but limited pre-amp...- shipsupt

NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC Impressions
This should take care of turning those mono-blocks off and on... Bob's your uncle. Just kidding! I never really wanted my DAC to have a bunch of pre-amp functionality until I had the M51, then I realized how convenient it was... and I started to notice that a few more features...- shipsupt
