Tidal Masters & MQA Thread!
Thanks for giving it a shot. So, I'm not alone in that issue. The cutting out/audio issues were not present on all songs. One that had issues - Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz- KraftD1

Tidal Masters & MQA Thread!
Posted over in the Dragonfly thread as well. Anyone having issues with the DFR on the 2018 iPad Pro 11 with MQA? With the official USB C -> A dongle and another I tried with MQA tracks it flashes rapidly purple/orange and cuts out on tracks (purple is MQA). The dongle otherwise works fine on...- KraftD1

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
Anyone having issues with the DFR on the 2018 iPad Pro using Tidal? When I use the red with my phone or iPad Air 2 via the older CCK then MQA works no problem. On the iPad Pro with the official USB C -> A dongle on MQA tracks it flashes rapidly purple/orange and cuts out. The dongle with DFR...- KraftD1

Don't have Onkyo, but get proper colors when streaming content via home sharing to the music app and DFR for output. 192 comes through magenta.- KraftD1

If anyone is interested the USB-C to USB adapter for the new iPad Pro works with the DFR. Another $20 dongle thing, but it does work and good that it does as there is no headphone out.- KraftD1

CanOpener?
I keep getting the warning that the app has to get updated/slowing down iOS and recently emailed goodhertz with no reply. Any news about them updating so that it can keep working with iOS as it is updated?- KraftD1

For the DFR I'm able to control output well with CanOpener. It has crossfeed/eq, but also a finer volume control- KraftD1

Picked up a DFR yesterday. People weren't kidding about the poor paint job. Edges had paint chips out of the box. It is also heavier than I expected based on the size.- KraftD1

What is the cause of the "liquid smooth" sensation of certain headphones?
It's about the pairing. Some headphones go well with a white or a red wine, others are better with a highball for that liquid effect...- KraftD1

Review: CEntrance DACport Slim DAC/Amp Combo
Making it a DAC essentially, which is what it was marketed as. Turn volume to max on your computer and control with the amp you hook up is the usual advice.- KraftD1

Review: CEntrance DACport Slim DAC/Amp Combo
Dacport LX is the older version without the amp, it is a usb DAC only, so just hook it up to an amp and you are good to go. In terms of system volume control, no sure.- KraftD1

FitEar Parterre (パルテール) Thread
I've always kind of liked how deep in the canal the Parterre sits with their shape. Will have to try out a shallower fit and see how it goes. I use the large Ortofon tips.- KraftD1

CanOpener?
Also, if you are playing hi-rez files without an external DAC capable of handling them, your device is forced to downsample them. The hi-fi pack gives the option of using a better sample rate conversion algorithm for this conversion. Not sure I hear much difference with the hi-fi pack...- KraftD1
