I have just picked up a chord mojo and have it connected to an iPad mini via cck and micro usb. When I play tidal or spotify the unit only shows 44khz (red) even though both are set to their highest rates - what am I doing wrong please? The headphones work but sampling rate is low!

That is the sample rate of both those services.
