Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread
re: Rag2 vs. Mj3, I had just bought a Rag 2 a couple of months back to upgrade from my Jot 2, and a friend made me borrow his MJ3 for a week. I was resistant because I just bought the Rag and was not looking for another solid state amp. I spent about a week with that MJ3 and as I was packing it...- Questhate

The PENON official thread
I don't have the Serial but I just got the 10th and Fan 2 in a couple of weeks ago. I'm catching up on this thread trying to calibrate my impressions and came across your post. I totally agree with you that I much prefer the Fan 2 over the 10th. The bass bleed into the lower mids on the 10th is...- Questhate

I just wanted to come in here and reiterate the HUGE THANKS to @DeviousEnigma for organizing this meet. Also huge appreciation to Schiit for sponsoring the meet and all the...- Questhate

Selling an excellent condition Focal Radiance. This is a catch and release from me as I just bought this from another Head-Fier a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to use it as a bedside headphone, but the sound leakage is more than I expected so it's back to IEMs for me. Price includes shipping...- Questhate

Bought a Bifrost 2 from Mark and the transaction could not have been more pleasant. It was shipped very quickly and the packaging was complete overkill (in the best way). Absolute pleasure to deal with.- Questhate

Official 2014 Bay Area Meet - SUNDAY - Feb 16th, 2014 Impressions thread
I suck at photo-journaling. I start taking pictures then get distracted as my ADD kicks in. Here are some of the few shots that I took: Purrin's open-baffle speaker setup. He went through the costs and estimated maybe $600-$700 for the pair? Kinda puts the value of high-end headphones in...- Questhate

LFF's Enigma (new from the maker of the Paradox)
These may be my first LFF headphones too. Lucky for me, ZD pulled the trigger before I did, so I can have a long audition before buying. Isolation is EXCELLENT (and that is one of the main reasons I'm interested in these). I was amazed at how it drowned out all of that meet noise. Not sure...- Questhate

LFF's Enigma (new from the maker of the Paradox)
...as low as he can. I get the sense this project is a labor of love more than anything. Congrats on getting that Suji finish. They look *really* cool in person, and have much more character than a standard matte black cup. He did say they take a lot longer to finish, and sometimes he...- Questhate

LFF's Enigma (new from the maker of the Paradox)
Got to hear these at the Bay Area meet. These are probably the best closed headphones I've heard. I got to hear them back to back with the LCD-XC and Alpha Dogs, and the Enigmas were the only one to get the mids spot-on, in that they didn't have that "cupped" sound typical of closed-back...- Questhate

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Ha! I knew you'd come around I've never owned an HD650, but have extensive time with an HD600 and I prefer that to the LCD2 overall. Like you said, some aspects are better but holistically the HD600 win out. Got an HD650 coming in any day now since you swayed me from an HD600 purchase.- Questhate

Audeze LCD-X
Speaking from my experience selling mine -- my ad wasn't even up for 2 hours before someone sent payment to me. So, best bet to get a used one is to keep refreshing the classifieds regularly since FOTM train is full speed ahead on them right now. And to be clear, I'm not a hater. I quite...- Questhate

Thoughts on a bunch of DACs (and why delta-sigma kinda sucks, just to get you to think about stuff)
Great read, guys. It's cool to see such an ambitious ranking/comparison since DAC differences are so subtle that's it's hard to find a lot of comprehensive comparisons in the wild. But the more you live with a DAC, the greater the differences become. I've lived with a handful of the DACs listed...- Questhate
