Is Questyle out of business or do they just completely ignore support emails?
I was wondering if Questyle is out of business. I have a CMA 400i DAC/AMP and it has a very audible hum coming out of the left channel of the balanced XLR output. I am not sure if it is also coming out of the 2.5mm or 6.35mm outputs, as I do not have one of these cables for my HD-650's and my...- Airwolf

Monoprice SonicSolace ANC Bluetooth Headphones - Anybody tried them?
I was curious if anybody on here has pulled the trigger on these Monoprice ANC headphones https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=16218 They have good reviews on the site, but I am not too trusting of site ratings, such as these. I would be interested to hear what any Head-Fi'rs think about...- Airwolf

Looking for a high quality USB microphone adapter

Looking for a high quality USB microphone adapter
Does anybody know of a high quality USB microphone adapter? I am currently using an Antlion Audio Modmic 4.0 and I am forced to keep using my onboard Realtek HD Audio because, obviously, my Schiit Bifrost doesn't have a microphone input. I saw that Antlion sells a $10 USB mic, but it has an...- Airwolf

Suggestions for all-in-one headphones/MP3 player for swimming
I am hoping some people with hands-on experience can help recommend an MP3 player for swimming. I just swim in a lap pool and need something to help with the boredom. I bought a pair of Sony NWZ-W273 waterproof earbuds that wrap around the back of your head and have an integrated MP3 player...- Airwolf

Nothing new here. Just a satisfied Bifrost user.
I recently upgraded from using onboard sound on my PC to a Schiit Bifrost Uber USB that I purchased used from another user here. I just wanted to say that I am shocked at how much of a difference it made going from using my PC as a DAC to switching to this Bifrost. My motherboard is an ASUS...- Airwolf

Looking for advice on an external DAC for PC gaming and listening
I think I am probably going to go with the Modi 2 non-uber. As far as I can tell, there isn't much benefit (if any) going to the Schiit Bifrost or another more expensive DAC.- Airwolf

Looking for some desktop computer speakers. I would appreciate some recommendations.
The speakers would mostly be for playing computer games. I have a home theater w/ HTPC for most other activities. I would prefer something I could just hook up to the pre-amp outputs of my Asgard 2, so I don't have to switch around cables.- Airwolf

Looking for some desktop computer speakers. I would appreciate some recommendations.
I generally use headphones when I am at my computer because I live in a condominium complex and my neighbors pound on the ceiling if my cat farts too loud. I do, however, have the need for some speakers every once in a while; usually when friends are over. As the speakers will only be used...- Airwolf

HiFiMAN Focus Pads durability concerns
I have had focus pads for my HE-400's since September of last year. I use my HE-400's pretty much 7 days a week on my main computer at home. I have noticed that the synthetic leather is starting to separate from the plastic rings that secure the pads to the headphones. I am generally...- Airwolf

Looking for some custom IEM recommendations
I have been thinking about getting some custom IEM's. I would mainly be using them at work, connected to my Asus Zenbook Prime (UX31A-DB51), which has a Realtek ALC269 audio chipset. Alternatively, I would be listening with my HTC One M8 phone or very rarely on my home PC, which has a...- Airwolf

Is my sound card doing my amp and headphones justice?
Thanks for the reply. I used to have a pair of Tritton AX Pro headphones, which had 4 discrete speakers per ear (front, center, rear, and sub). The headphones only sounded good (relatively speaking) when using the external headphone amp/connector that it came with. It only accepted...- Airwolf

Is my sound card doing my amp and headphones justice?
I used to have a pair of BD DT990 250 ohm headphones before I upgraded to the HE-400's. I found that even though the sound card I am using is rated up to 600 ohms on the headphone output, low notes were getting are muddled up and crappy. Adding a JDS O2 made a huge difference in the...- Airwolf

Is my sound card doing my amp and headphones justice?
I am currently using a Sound Blaster Recon 3D Fatal1ty Professional card outputting via the amplified headphone jack to a Schiit Adgard 2 amplifier. JDS O2 blew an op-amp (pic inside). Question regarding replacement.
From what I have been told, it is because my HE-400's were doubling the output current specifications of the op-amps. I bought a used Schiit Asgard 2 off of eBay to replace it. John from JDS kindly replied to my email and said that I should replace both op-amps at the same time and...- Airwolf

Need help finding an amplifier for some HE-400's
I actually never turned the volume up over about 50% on the amp and have my volume in Windows 7 set to 40%. I keep the volume pretty reasonable. At the time, the amp was on and connected to my computer, but my computer had been idle for probably 12 hours before the op-amp exploded.- Airwolf

Need help finding an amplifier for some HE-400's
I emailed Schiit and they said any of their amps should be able to handle this load and specifically said that the specs mentioned are "a trivial requirement for non-op-amp output stages." I guess I'm in the market for a Asgard 2...- Airwolf
