Equalizers
As with everything, it's personal preference. There's a big thread on equalising headphones to match your hearing for the most accurate results, but I'm just too lazy to spend months sorting that out so I keep mine flat. I used to use presets but they all sound odd to me now.- Ilovebeef

My HD555s are broken?
Can't believe people are recommending things without first asking what the 'distortion' is. I'd say it's most likely a hair on the driver.- Ilovebeef

Noise at low volumes using ASIO (Essence STX)
Quote: KS doesn't work very well for me. The volume slider on foobar seems to lag behind when I change it which is annoying. Quote: No difference. As I said in the edit it's quantization noise rather than interference.- Ilovebeef

Noise at low volumes using ASIO (Essence STX)
My usual googling skills have failed me on this occasion. When I set the volume extremely low in foobar, I hear a weird sort of hissing noise/distortion whenever a note is audible in the music. Turning the volume up either removes this noise or drowns it out – either way it becomes inaudible...- Ilovebeef

Question: Sennheiser HD555 Foam Mod
It's completely reversible so if you don't like it you can always pop them back on. Personally I didn't notice much difference anyway.- Ilovebeef

Moving headband padding on HD650
Mine does it too. It's no big deal. I'd just leave it. If it gets really irritating, which it shouldn't because it doesn't move whilst on your head, just superglue it or something.- Ilovebeef

Thinking of returning my AH-D2000's.
I'm planning on getting an amp when I've got the money for one. They don't sound bad at the moment but I'm sure they'd improve with more power.- Ilovebeef

can owners of HD650 do this test please?
I can hear both notes fine to begin with, then once the drums start, the G is almost completely inaudible. I hear the C a lot better. I don't think I understand the test.- Ilovebeef
