Audalytic AH90 - All in one Streamer, DAC, Heapphone Amp
Would there be any advantage connecting an Intona USB isolator (7054-X) between my laptop and this DAC or would the Intona be redundant? My laptop only has one USB-C output but have some spare USB-A ports on the dock I use with it. The Intona is USB-A. Using USB-A up until the DAC won't...- noway

Spdif terminations>True 75Ohm, Hey Jocko!
Sorry to revive a 4-year old post, but have a couple questions: Let's say you are running S/PDIF coax RCA-RCA from a computer sound card output to a DAC. How do you know that the RCA output connector on the computer and the RCA input connector on the DAC are really 75 ohms as well, despite in...- noway

If anyone has any more listings for solid state headphone amps with balance control but older (and cheaper) I would love to see some. P.S. Another amp with balance control is Lake People G107.- noway

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Yeah the electrician would work but might be more expensive than a longer cord. I already have a power bar feeding 2 active speakers and DAC...I would need to have RME cord-->extension cord-->power bar with cord-->outlet if I did the extension cord thing...which would be a bit convoluted. I...- noway

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
I need a DAC on my desk and the nearest outlet is about 15'-20' away. Checking out RME DACs as a possible upgrade but I don't think the cord/brick on the RME would be long enough and I don't want to use an extension cord or another power bar. Are there any replacement cords/brick that would...- noway

Shure SRH1540 Review
Yeah, been listening to mostly speakers instead of headphones over that period (+ PortaPros for laptop), except for brief buy/sell flings with M50, D2000, K240, T50RPMK3, K550, Q701, DT990. Just got some new DT250-250 from Newegg so trying some headphones again.- noway

Medium Impedance IEMs
Wondering if there are any IEMs with an impedance 80-250. Price range under $300. So far the only ones I've seen are very low, which would be ok for my laptop but my headphone amp on main stereo prefers something higher. Comfort and build quality a priority and they are not for critical...- noway

Hard headphone case (hinged, snap shut)

Hard headphone case (hinged, snap shut)
Looking for a hard case that stays closed by spring tension only and is hinged like a clamshell. Similar to some eyeglass cases or old electric razor cases that snap shut. Spring tension close only, no zippers. Thanks in advance if anyone has seen something like this. Just want it for a set...- noway

The new matrix mini-pro 2s, any thoughts?
Been using it for over a year now. Very impressed with this DAC. In my system, which uses a professional balanced power amplifier, I prefer it configured as a DAC rather than a PRE with my active balanced preamp driving the power amp. I haven't had the chance to test it with headphones since...- noway

Full sized Schiit amps - Channel imbalance?
Maybe a silly question but why not use a meter hooked up to the output(s) and a test CD to measure the difference between right and left? That way you are measuring the amp, not guessing with your ears and confounding it with your headphone variations.- noway
