Vinyl record cleaner question
Looking for some feedbacks about record cleaning devices, such as: Spin Clean MK2 Record Friend Cleaner Both seems to have identical design and the way how to handle / clean records, but the question is, how effective these are vs. vacuum machines? Another question I have, how safe these...- Blackmore

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Not sure, but seems you missed the point. I ordered pads from local shop where they sell NAD headphones. My repair request went through service center of that shop directly. So, if you have any local shop you can step in and order pads, just do so, done. And like I wrote, it took a while, think...- Blackmore

Search on the NAD website for importer in your country and send the e-mail to them instead. Ask if they sell directly or ask for NAD dealer in your area they work with. Thats what I did and it worked perfect. Bought original replacement pads at the end for EUR 18. Regarding Brainwavz, not sure...- Blackmore

These are legendary, still my favorite. Always loved their ability to reproduce well recorded ambient and EDM kind of music. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!- Blackmore

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Picked up and already installed the new pads for HP50's. Frist impressions are good and to be honest, why shoudnt they be, as these are samish. Istalling pads are easy, just start from one shorter side, keep that part in place and rotate easy further, gently stretch out, keep that also in place...- Blackmore

EAR HP4
I see, good one, but you may already saw the differences, where Tung Sol has SU and yours, just like the majority of the same type of tubes, SL between 6 & 7: 6SU7 vs 6SL7. Enjoy and thanks for sharing!- Blackmore

EAR HP4
Opening the HP4 is easy work. Replacing the tubes, nothing to worry about either, but thats for me, as I rolled pretty much everything you can imagine, however, you must be careful, never pull the tubes out by grabbing the glass body, base only! My biggest issue with HP4 was the fact that only...- Blackmore

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Just yersterday, I ordered the original replacement pads through the local shop, paid EUR 17,51 and expecting them in few days. Its not the comfort, the pads on my HP50 simply done after several years, however, if these were better quality, they would still be o.k., its just the pletter material...- Blackmore

Another thing I like to know, is how do they fit, is it difficult to put them on? According to this cnet article they do fit. THX- Blackmore

The Return of the Legend
On December of 13th 2010 I wrote to sales department of WE, asked if they are planning a restart of WE 300B production, but the answer was not promissing, I believe. Today, just 7 years later, I got the e-mail from WE with that text above and I posted right away, thats all.- Blackmore

The Return of the Legend
This is a very happy start of the year 2018! It is my distinct pleasure to announce that the WE 300B electron tube will re-enter production this year, in time for its 80th Anniversary. The famous triode was developed at Bell Labs in 1933 in the form of its predecessor, the 300A, which was...- Blackmore

As long as you dont hear anything that disturb the sound, such as hum, noise, crackling or dead channel, you are fine. Some tubes can be weak, but still perform fine and when you buy from the honest person, he will tell you how much hours tubes had, so you can get the idea. On the other hand...- Blackmore

The only way to stimulate Stax of getting the idea of remaking of original Omega is by writing them, however, you cant do this by e-mail anymore, only by writing an letter, but I dont see this happening.
