AUDEZE LCD XC
This is simply not true. LCD-2 are the most upper mids scooped headphones I´ve ever heard just like HD 650 for example. Which makes them "warm" and nice to listen to, but are FAR from accurate and flat headphones / studio monitors.- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
LCD-XC has more upper mids / "lower treble" / 1k - 4k than HD 800. This is the region human hearing is the most sensitive to. But they are scooped around the 4k- 10k "higher treble" area, which is kinda good thing, because without that scoop it just would be too much treble for the ears to...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
Quote: They kinda are "shouty". Might be too much 2k for some people. They focus A LOT on the mids (especially 1k-4k), more than any headphone I´ve ever heard. They are not bass heavy at all. Similar amount of bass like T1 and HD 800, but different quality, very nice. Tight and...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
It sounds to me that you´ve never heard a neutral sound. You just think the LCD-XC sounds neutral and transparent. Well they are not. They are very colored. There are big boosts and scoops in the frequency curve. This is exactly what I´m talking about. People say unbelievable things in...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
How can flat have a crazy boost around 1k - 4k? And then drop a lot from 4k and come back after 8k - 10k? I call that a roller coaster. But I agree that the bass is pretty flat, it is tight, fast and goes deep, but the quantity is little, maybe because of the crazy mid boost. I would say...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
No I love headphones and I love studio monitors too. Let me put the most comfortable / least comfortable list. Number 1. being the most comfortable. 1. HD 650 - can wear it forever! 2. HD 600 - can wear it for years! 3. SR-009 - can wear it for months 4. T1 - can wear it for weeks...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
Yeah, I´ve pretty much learned that you can´t trust the head-fi community, especially not the so called "professionals". But there are still some people that are dead on with their impressions, but they are hard to find from all the babble. Are the LCD-XC: Natural and transparent...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
Another head of steel, gongratz! I find them the most uncomfortable headphones ever! And I´ve tried and own lot of headphones. And sorry, but they don´t sound natural at all. Unless natural in your world means a roller coaster in the frequency curve (meaning big boosts and big scoops).- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
Glad to hear someone having the same impressions as me! I thought I was going crazy reading some of the other impressions here and even the reviews from the so called "professionals". I definitely love the TH-900! Way more than the LCD-XC, but I really like the LCD-XC too… the sound of...- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
The LCD-XC sounds like a kitchen radio after TH-900. Let me elaborate... Once again I´ve been fooled by the Head-Fi so called "professional" impressions and reviews about these headphones, but this time I ain´t bitter. I actually like the LCD-XC! But not for the reasons what people are here...- MetalElvis

Audeze LCD-X
Would I like the LCD-X or LCD-XC? I kinda liked the LCD-2 first and thought they were even better than the LCD-3 (snappier, tighter and a bit more treble, although a smaller soundstage). But ever since getting the SR-009, HD 800 and TH-900 the LCD-2 just sounds so muffled. The upper mids are...- MetalElvis

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Nope you got me wrong. I love the TH900! :) I´m just looking portable closed cans with great sound. :) Momentums were almost it! But too much bass for me.- MetalElvis

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
I have AKG K550 and HD600. Their ok. At the moment I´m just looking little more bass (with closed cans), like HD650 bass for example (but with more treble&air). I also have TH900 which has really boosted bass, but I think Momentum has even more, so it´s too much for me. TH900 is the max...- MetalElvis

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Otherwise they sounded pretty good to me for the price, but the bloated bass ruined it for me, so I didn´t pull the trigger. Really looking forward hearing the NAD VISO HP50 someday.- MetalElvis

B&W P7 vs NAD VISO HP50
Just read that the P7 has some nasty upper mids spike and then rolls of quite early. Really don´t dig that sound. Of course I would need to hear it, but doesn´t sound too good. The NAD VISO HP50 would seem like the champion. Any impressions?- MetalElvis

B&W P7 vs NAD VISO HP50
Thanks for the impressions headed. Very informative! The Viso HP50 is starting to be even more interesting. I´m actually looking for a bit warmer sound, but maybe not so warm as the HD 650 and LCD-2.- MetalElvis

B&W P7 vs NAD VISO HP50
Thanks for the reply! I have the AKG 550 and they sound pretty good for the price, but the fit (and comfort) is annoying. So I´m looking for something better in comfort and portability and of course also in sound, which is the most important.- MetalElvis

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
I don´t think it is. TH-900 are just better in every way. Actually TH-900 is one of my fav headphones and D7000 my least likeable.- MetalElvis

AUDEZE LCD XC
Sorry, but you are dead wrong. LCD-2/3 are very very soft sounding = not real. Maybe you haven´t ever heard "true sound", that´s why you avoid discussing about flat studio monitors (in a well acoustically treated room). Seems like you just like the sound of LCD-3s, but have no clue about...- MetalElvis

So you say "LCD-3 = natural". What does that exactly mean? Because to me they are far from "natural". I would say they are very "colored". To me high end flat studio monitors are natural. LCD-2/3 is far away from those.- MetalElvis
