Earplugs!
Went to my first rock concert last week. It was Vampire Weekend, Abe Vigoda opened for them and were too loud for me and quite frankly sucked live, so I saw no reason to damage my hearing over nothing. Basically went out to the smoking deck with a friend until VW was ready to come on stage which...- Chone

they probably wont even charge anybody until it's shipped. we probably won't even have to make a phone call about it if it doesn't go through. there were probably only 15-20 to sell, they might go through, might not. :/- Chone

yes, that's why im like "double you tee eff mate" nobody blatantly sells counterfeits at $60 through buy.com. i ordered a pair. hoping they dont catch the mistake, because surely that's what it is. if it's too good to be true it usually is, but maybe i'll get lucky :P- Chone

Harman K 702 Stereo Headphone - K702 - Buy.com this confused me a little bit. it says harman, but i think they make akg's. and the picture is clearly of a k702. and says manufacturer "akg" what do you think. should i order these and hope they give me the price or are these not legit...- Chone

Talking about Tinnitus
good to hear it's mostly psychological. i didn't even acknowledge it for a long time until this week. the only thing that changed is i bought an amp, and collected some flac files trying to see how much hi-fi stuff was to my enjoyment of music.- Chone

Talking about Tinnitus
i think i might have this. either i don't hear it very often or im just good at ignoring it. but i decided to do a search about it last night after i was in the bathroom late at night and it was completely silent. i wouldn't really call it a definitive ringing, but to me i just associate it with...- Chone

Looking for the right pair of OPEN headphones
those are closed right? is that much of a sacrifice? i like the natural openness of the 555's, but maybe that's more about them being way better than most headphones i've used before and no as much about the open design as i assumed. it won't be a big factor in my purchase if it's not that...- Chone

Looking for the right pair of OPEN headphones
I currently have a pair of Senn 555's, my first real headphones. They are probably the best thing I have ever bought, but I've had them for a couple years and they're starting to show a bit of wear and I'm looking for an upgrade. Seems like upgrading to 595's would be boring, but maybe...- Chone

What is the best solution for me?
If I go with the 650's for sure is there anything more appropriate where you're also getting really good value for what you pay. I'd go up to around $300 if it was worth it. But i'll definitely consider you're suggestion. it's my number 1 option now. i wonder how much of a difference i'd see...- Chone

What is the best solution for me?
I've done some research, but I just don't know enough to comprehend the information needed to make the right decision. I'm a college student and do all my appreciable listening on a laptop. I'd say most of my music is around 256-320 kbps, not the greatest, but I like decent mp3 files. I...- Chone

Best amp for HD650
i'm really confused, i don't really know anything, but i was under the impression that if you have a dac amp, it replaces the job of your sound card when listening to music.- Chone

should i buy an amp?
i spend a lot of time listening to music, often hours a day. i have sennheiser hd555's and i love them. i also want to buy hd650's. i have no idea exactly how much an amp impacts the quality because i've never had one, not sure how i should spend my money, i definitely wouldn't feel comfortable...- Chone
