After much umming and ahhing I had to search high and low for a setup that matched the musical leanings of my home hifi (that I will sadly have to leave behind as I move halfway across the world :() Impressions with the DT770 Pro are: - Tighter bass amped than un-amped - Even...- PooJou

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Quote: Hey KG - They're very much like the Triple Fi 10's - laid back in the treble, warm midrange, decent bass. I've auditioned a bunch of headphones now, from GS1000 to M50 - and the only that sounds "similar" to what I'm after is the Beyerdynamic DT770Pro (the black ones) - are...- PooJou

Quote: Unequivocally yes. I've got a Galaxy S here which has a piddly 512mb of ram as well - and it runs ICS completely fine. What slows anything built on Android down = fancy transitions / applications. I'm unwilling to accept that people are simply "ok" with poor design / poor...- PooJou

...that you all understand that. I also understand that the DX100 runs some pretty serious hardware - but that horrible running time could be *much* improved by simply running 4.x instead of 2.3.x. That's simply because gingerbread is *old*. Having said that. I still want one. It...- PooJou

The hardware looks great on this - but my god forking 2.3.x for an mp3 player? Nahh!! I wonder why they didn't go plain ICS or JB - it looks as if all their "apps" are just widgets on a stock launcher anyway? Also did I mention it's ugly :( - really love the hardware tho (again)- PooJou

Sennheiser HD800: Spray Painted Plastic and the New Acid-Washed Jeans.
I don't know about you guys but anything that colour "silver" looks cheap to me. Sure it's a good thousand pound headphone, but it still looks kinda dodgy? Like I guess there is an element of form over function going on there, but couldn't they make it look a little less space-agey? (Personal...- PooJou

from Iriver H120 to....Ipod or D2?
The hdd upgrade for the H120 isn't massively hard to do - takes you up to 30gb (with a hdd) or 32gb (with SSD, a little more fiddly) but that doesn't solve your packaging problem!- PooJou

Alessandro Music Series MS1 FAN CLUB!
Long time user of the MS-1 here! Just writing to say the MS-1's are sounding thin as of late - I'm getting used to the fuller sound of the Superfi5pro it seems. Looks like it's measuring the remaining voltage of your battery - hence it decreases - I believe rockbox exploits this on startup Interesting find - would be better if they could predict playing time left huh- PooJou

New and Improved Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 v2.0 - Huge Sound in a Tiny Package.
So are they going to phase out the 5Pro's? Because they're still on the website and it doesn't show them getting rid of them anytime soon? That and they share so much in common with the Fi 4's that it makes sense to have a more consumer friendly line under the Pro/EB (although...- PooJou
