X'mas dilemma: sacdmods of scd-775 OR MSB Link DAC III
Thanks for sharing your experience. I checked the sacdmods.com out, he indeed does quite a few things besides the clock. The additional power transformer is a welcome feature. But I couldn't find anything about "an iec connector (highly recommended)." Could you please elaborate on that?- freeflight

X'mas dilemma: sacdmods of scd-775 OR MSB Link DAC III
I have a Sony SCD-775, about 20 SACDs and several hundreds Redbook CDs. The player does a good job playing SACDs (at least to me now). I am wondering if I can improve the Redbook CD playback a bit, as a X'mas gift to myself. I would like to stay in $500 range if possible. The options...- freeflight

Sony 222ES VERSUS Philips 963SA?
at www.audioasylum.com from a respectable source, Alex Peychev ( http://www.aplhifi.com/ ), who did lots of mods of CD/SACD players. Check out http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/hi...es/158420.html Basically the 963SA is a nice transport and DSP, but the power supply and filtration are the...- freeflight

Please recommend some SACDs
FCJ, no I did not. I do not like the box of the Anniversary edition. I only have the Anniversary version of Italiano Concerto, which I am not very familiar with. I guess they sound similar if both use the Super Bit Mapping technique.- freeflight

The Compact Disc (CD) is dead--long live Super Audio CD (SACD) and DVD-Audio (DVD-A)!
Even after I bought a SACD player, I will still buy more CDs than SACDs. It will be a while or forever to see enough SACDs to appear on the market.- freeflight

Most of my Goulds are the The Glenn Gould Edition, white cover ones using Super Bit Mapping. There are some major deals about The Glenn Gould Edition (not the annversary ones) at tower.com. The regular two CDs set are $13.99, and are about $28 elsewhere. I bought Glenn Gould Edition - Bach...- freeflight

I am a Gould fan too. I have almost all the Gould's Bach, around 25 CDs. I have both 55 and 81 Goldberg variations, and the DVD. I might pick up Murray Perahia's Goldberg variation SACD for the time being. I ordered three pure DSD multi-channel SACDs from tower.com, Mahler'1st, Four Seasons...- freeflight

I took the plunge and bought the CE775 for $169 at local Circuit City. I need some help on finding SACDs. I have a small collection of Redbook CDs (around 200). 85% are classical, 10% pop, 5% jazz. I would appreciate your suggestion on getting some SACDs. I do not mind getting SACD that...- freeflight

HD600 vs ER4P/S
I have both and found that I had little use of the Etys. The thing is if you use Etys at work, you will have to remove them frequently in order to talk with other people. (You are not gona have any friend if you insist wearing Etys all the time.) If you use HD-600 at home, then a quiet and...- freeflight

New user of ER-4P and some thoughts
I found that I do not have as much insulation as I read before. I can still hear people talking with music on, though faintly, which means that I do not know what they are talking about. The seal is tight and music sounds nice. Is this a problem of the seal or the normal case for everbody?- freeflight
