HiFiMan HM-601 won't turn on.
I have the same problem...exactly. What did you end up doing to get it fixed. PS I didn't use it for months and then the issue started- Sennshead

Triple Fi's + Hifiman 601 = best value for uber-portable rig?
I think I'll need to check out the Clip+. One of my biggest beefs with my previous players was the fact that they had limited space (except the zune 120...but sq wasn't really up to par). I didn't know there were other players with expandable memory. And geez, at that price you could afford...- Sennshead

Triple Fi's + Hifiman 601 = best value for uber-portable rig?
What source do you prefer when it comes to something small and light enough to run with, currently available, and that has no need to be sent off for "upgrades"? PS...for me it's a toss up between the cables and the diminishing returns on the really high end phones that get into the high...- Sennshead

Triple Fi's + Hifiman 601 = best value for uber-portable rig?
jleewach- C'mon that's a little 'conclusion-jumpy' isn't it? Justifying my purchase had absolutely nothing to do with my post. I had two reasons: 1. I have been extremely happy with the value of both components and the sound they produce when put together and wanted to praise both for...- Sennshead

Triple Fi's + Hifiman 601 = best value for uber-portable rig?
I recently upgraded from a zune 120 with ADDIEMs to UE Triple Fi 10s and a Hifiman 601. I looked long and hard to find what appeared to be the best value. The Triple Fi's are usually compared here to much more expensive IEMs (the MSRP on the Triple Fi's is much higher than what you can...- Sennshead

IEMs for zune 120 (~$200 range)
I've been using ADDIEMs with comply tips with my zune 120. I heard that the older Zunes had an EQ...really upset about that, btw. I ride public transport, so I absolutely love the isolation of the tips, and the fit/comfort is phenomenal. But I'm a little unhappy with the sound. The midbass is a...- Sennshead

hd650s smell funny?
I just sold my hd650s to bohemianism (who was a fantastic buyer btw), and he asked about something I'd been wondering about myself...the odd smell of Senns phones. I bought the phones brand new about a year ago. The case was factory sealed and had all the proper documentation etc. When I...- Sennshead

Anyone remember this?
that was probably the best $50 those producers ever spent...my favorite part was when the dude with the REALLY short bike shorts bounces off the chain-link fence. Priceless.- Sennshead

Stock SQ: Ipod Touch vs Iriver H140/120?
If SQ is so important, why don't you just buy an ibasso D10 and go from your optical out on the iriver to it rather than get the ipod touch...there's no question that SQ would be better that way than with the ipod- Sennshead

I hope this comes across the right way.... I thought your review was hillarious! I really struggled not to laugh out loud in the lecture I'm trying to ignore. It just cracks me up to hear a review of lousy gear.- Sennshead

Beginner's looking for advice
In getting "started" a really important issue to address is portability. Do you need to be able to pack it around? It sounds like you don't, and if so, good (you'll pay more for portability). If you have or choose to buy a good CD player, you'll not need to worry about an external DAC as a...- Sennshead

Sennheiser IE8 Question...
Also you might consider the position of your phones. My ear canals are slightly different diameters which allows my IEMs to fit closer to my eardrum on the left side which affects the sound and volume.- Sennshead

Are people afraid to get involved, or just don't care??
There has been countless events like this over time. One of the most famous is the stabbing of a lady, midday, on a street full of people. She was stabbed dozens of times before she died an no one did anything.- Sennshead

Rockbox: Why is it so much better?
I have a similar experience from my macbook pro. Even with both software's EQ set flat I much prefer the sound of the same song played through VLC as opposed to iTunes.- Sennshead
