FOMO I confess that with my aging ears, I just go for the best of everything (within my budget), for fear of missing out. Then I can avoid these types of tests. I find that the recording/mixing quality is more noticeable than any other factor. I have lost my patience with poor recordings.

I found that downloading Tidal playlists (to my FiiO M11Pro) works best. With albums, I found that I had to "refresh" the download by visiting the album before I left the house. Anyone else have this experience?

Win 11 > USB > FiiO K7. The only issue I have is that when I switch the USB out to my KEF LS50W, Tidal freezes, and I have to restart it to get it to recognize the LS50s.

Why not just leave it turned on? Surely a steady temperature state is best for consistent playback performance? I don't mind paying for the very small power consumption. I believe my recent FiiO K7 purchase is the best value for my money at this time. Love the AKM DAC sound.

Don't sell them! There will always be a use-case for a good closed back. For my open back use-cases I like my Meze 109 Pro.

Why can I not leave the LPS switched on at all times?

I cannot recommend the LPS I ordered without using it first. Go to Aliexpress and have a look. The FiiO PL50 is there as well on special right now ($181 CDN).
