[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread
LDAC and aptxhd perform flawlessly for me, but even with the btr5 right next to the transmitter (mee audio), using aptx ll, there are very slight interruptions that sound like crackles and pops. It's not huge but it's just enough to be annoying.- Applehusky

Why not call it the M100 Master Titanium? That would be pretty sick. Not gonna lie.- Applehusky

I would love to see a titanium m100. However, I wouldn't want to see how much it would cost.- Applehusky

I think I agree with this assessment. Did you try different (larger) pads on the non-masters?- Applehusky

I mean, it really just depends on what you're looking for. It's a little hard to tell, and I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm starting to get the impression that this is not what you're looking for... Just a guess.- Applehusky

They're not for everyone, but I'd suggest trying a pair of you can. I believe v Moda has a return policy if you end up not liking them. And I personally love that there's so much variety out there. Just imagine how boring this hobby would be if everything sounded the same.- Applehusky

Hidizs Sonata HD DAC cable - new tiny and mighty DAC&
I just flashed the cable 2.0 firmware too and it looks like the file name for the firmware says "SONATA_HD-A-V2.0.exe" which I would guess is an updated version of the "A" firmware. This would make sense considering the device also shows up as an input. I'm also not able to go above 24/48 with...- Applehusky

Hidizs Sonata HD DAC cable - new tiny and mighty DAC&
I have this same type of problem on windows. It seems like there are only a few steps of volume so it's very difficult to get it just right. Anyone know if there's a solution to this?- Applehusky

Depending on the phone and computer you're using, a Sonata could definitely let you get a little more out of those headphones. I prefer the sonata's output to my Galaxy Note 9's headphone jack, but the note 9 doesn't sound horrible. Also look into the Venture Electronics Odyssey. I haven't tried...- Applehusky

Lol They've obviously never heard the lp if they think the master is muddy. For real though, I'm not really surprised. In my experience, anything else will sound weird after listening to the same thing for an extended amount of time. Just like new shoes.- Applehusky

New V Moda Crossfade M100 Master
After listening to both extensively, I'd say that the M100 master and M100 have the same goal in mind, but the M100 master is more refined. Everything just seems tighter and clearer. I ended up returning my original M100 because I felt the M100 master was worth the extra $50 I paid for them...- Applehusky

I just want to take a bit to remind everyone that this thread covers personal thoughts, experiences, and impressions on the M100 Master specifically, and not past V Moda products.
