I'd choose the D1001 within your price range. They don't leak but they do let sound in.

Considering how many people seem to have the ESW10 and how many are for sale, it seems that the whole limited edition of 1500 units was BS.

I'm such a loser!!! I just bought another pair after selling my first ESW10 after 3 days. What can I say? I missed them and I knew I couldn't be happy knowing the ESW10 was out there laughing at me... Although I probably would have been happy with an ESW9.

I bought my CK7 in 2006 from Warehouse123. Back then, audiocubes still had reasonable prices but I saved about $5 buying from WH123. They shipped quickly and the guy I spoke to in HK was really helpful.

I found the ESW10 to be much better than the ESW9 but the difference in SQ did not justify the difference in price (possibly since I don't use an amp). Right now I am craving a new portable headphone and I don't know where to turn. I will probably end up buying another ESW9 or ESW10. If only...

Two things: 1. My ESW10 came in a box with an ESW9 and I thankfully did not get hit with any customs. 2. Why isn't anyone complaining about the pouch. The ESW9 comes with a nicer pouch and the $120 ANC7 comes with a beautiful. At $600 MSRP one should at least hope for an AT-HPP5 thrown in.

Got mine today!!! Straight out of my H120 they don't sound that much better than the ESW9 but the soundstage is wonderful.

Are the Kenwood headphones made in China or Japan?

I just bought a pair. The are solidly built and very comfortable. They have memory foam ear pads. So far I think they are good for the money but I am not yet sure of the overall SQ. I will post a detailed review after some burn-in. They are currently only $35 on buy.com.
