Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Thanks I may do that but after further testing I think it might just be my hardware. Here's what I've found so far: USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (Rear) - Up to 10 ft in range, but frequent disconnects even at desk. USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (Front) - Up to 15 ft in range, but gone or unreliable past first...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Any hacks on extending wireless dongle range (or what factors to consider)? Computer's back USB port gives constant disconnects sitting at desk, 1.2ft away (similar to Penrose). However, front USB port gives me 12-15 ft which I'm okay with, just wish I could go all over the place like with some...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

That was the funny bit in this. Some guy on reddit took it to heart when a random retailer said March, and Audeze swooped into the comment section 2 days ago to say 'not true at all, wait for our update.' And the reality is...well yeah March if we're fortunate. I'm aware we all look dumb in...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I ain't even mad anymore I think people just need to vent briefly when they drop $300 on a mystery release date. It is what it is. If I were them I'd pump the breaks on the community interaction too. Still using my PC37x after ditching a snapped Penrose. Hoping for the best with the Maxwell.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Console wars will always be funny, don't take it too seriously. I might be out of my mind since it felt like I basically lit $300 on fire with the Penrose, but 3 years later and Audeze is still the only one attempting to fill this gap in the market. If the headband is actually durable and the...

    Audeze Penrose X and Penrose

Yeah it seems Audeze is covering it, they sent me RMA instructions so all should be good.

    Audeze Penrose X and Penrose

Casually picked up my set from my desk the other night and I assume the stress of lifting it up by one end caused this to happen to the opposite end: Was really shocked by how it just fell apart. I don't always pick this up from my desk like a holy grail, but I've also never been rough with...

    Audeze Penrose X and Penrose

Any newfound advice on disconnections? I can barely stand using this headset lately, it has suddenly started reconnecting every couple minutes. Bought in November 2020 and it's just shot.

The Official JRPG Thread (aka Japanese Role Playing Games)

May looks like a quiet month for JRPGs outside of SMT3:Nocturne HD Remaster. Dragon Quest Builders 2 and Final Fantasy X/X-2 are also coming to Xbox Game Pass.

    Audeze Penrose X and Penrose

It has mediocre range for sure. 10' same room straight from the receiver you shouldn't have issues. But if you're between rooms or around corners it's going to happen with this one.

    Audeze Penrose X and Penrose

Has there been a firmware update yet that isn't beta? Just haven't ever seen one appear when I check the Audeze app on my computer.

Yeah FFVIIR is a PS Plus game this month. Doesn't get PS5 upgrade though. I had a good time with it but wasn't blown away. Fantastic OST and character models though. Playing Bravely Default II on Switch and it's great so far (10 hours in).

Yeah it's not very rich in terms of content and exploration, similar to the original Nier. About 16 hours into Atelier Ryza 2 and still having a good time. Also starting The Last Remnant which has a really unique battle system so far, bad tutorials and all.
