@Audeze would the dongle also work properly when plugged in to a powered USB hub that is itself directly attached to PC?The range should be better than this. Please contact support and we should be able to sort it out.

That’s most how I’ve used it, haven’t had any issues
Thanks I may do that but after further testing I think it might just be my hardware. Here's what I've found so far:The range should be better than this. Please contact support and we should be able to sort it out.
- USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (Rear) - Up to 10 ft in range, but frequent disconnects even at desk.
- USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (Front) - Up to 15 ft in range, but gone or unreliable past first drywall obstruction.
- Dongle connected to an external powered USB hub, USB-C port - Solid connection 20 ft+ between walls and floors, basically unbreakable within my place so hard to get a true distance measurement, but very good.
- Dongle connected to USB to USB-C adapter provided with headset, rear computer USB 3.0 port - Same performance as external powered hub connection, solid.
It is very difficult to say without knowing the retailer. Most of the units that were ordered (dealers / distributors) have been shipped.any update on when retailers will receive? the one i ordered from told me yesterday they contacted audeze and there was no ETA on shipment to them for their pre orders

Yes. Pretty much works on anything we have tried so far. There might be some corner cases, but vast majority of the cases should be handled. It even works on linux / steam deck without any issues.@Audeze would the dongle also work properly when plugged in to a powered USB hub that is itself directly attached to PC?

Just tried the new season, The audio in BF2042 isn't as good as past titles for example BF4. Most if not all veteran DICE devs have moved on sadly. Just take a look at The Finals from Embark and imagine what BF might have been.I am in love with the headset, the overall sound quality has made most of my collection obsolete - however on your last point, I have to agree. It sounds heavenly for everything but shooters, mainly BF2042 - the competitive and footstep EQ settings didn't work super well for me so I look forward to working on my EQ presets to get it closer to what I need. But for the time being its perfect otherwise, movie and tv shows sound out of this world. Truly an all rounder.

Man, I hadn't seen anything about 'The Finals', last I saw was the blog last year with the concepts, but holy crap if the final game looks and plays like that, that looks incredible.
Thanks for a detailed range rundown, @zbrictson ! Question for you, @HipHopScribe and @Audeze: if setup rig has other Bluetooth adapters (EG - mouse dongle) or other nearby Bluetooth signals active, does that affect range or connection stability? Thanks I may do that but after further testing I think it might just be my hardware. Here's what I've found so far:
So I'm pretty happy with it now, I guess my motherboard's USB-C ports just don't like it as much (Asrock Z790 PG Lightning).

Can you please confirm whether the dongle is doing Bluetooth LC3plus (and/or does it also use the lossless radio protocol of the Penrose) ?Yes. Pretty much works on anything we have tried so far. Pure pain reading all the hands on views while waiting for UK retailers to confirm stock
No. It should affect it very much. We had 3 Maxwell right next to each other at CanJam. There were probably at least 50 to 60 Bluetooth devices in the CanJam hall. We could literally walk from the Audeze table at the entrance of the hall to the very end of the hall and even outside without any drops. With Dongle we were easily able to get half the range. Thanks for a detailed range rundown, @zbrictson ! Thank you @Audeze, that is very encouraging. if you will permit me, one last question. In the online FAQ it says "Maxwell also utilizes a dual-end point design for use on PC and Mac. When you plug the dongle in a PC, it appears as two different end points. i.e. it appears as two audio devices. The first one is Maxwell Game and the second one is Maxwell Chat. The applications can choose either of the two audio devices to playback. The rotary button adjusts the balance between the two audio devices/end points."No. It should affect it very much. As a primarily music listener, can one deactivate Maxwell Chat so it is music only, eg from FooBar or a similar player? Will I be able to just select "Maxwell Game" as audio device in windows and FooBar and not engage chat at all? Thanks for all of the help understanding how this terrific tech works!

You know what I think this might be it, BF5 sounded glorious with and COD sounded great too, but this latest cod and BF2042 both have atrocious audio design. Literally everything else I have tried aside from that have given me goosebumps. Maxwell has opened up a new facet of gaming that I never fully appreciated before. Sure I had nice audiophile iems and cans but none of them helped me enjoy gaming more. I am still adjusting to it, hearing all the sounds in games I didnt perceive before.
Maxwell is going to disrupt the market so hard it is not even funny. I expected to use it only for gaming and multimedia but I am REALLY liking it for audio, esp plugged into my macbook via usb C and running Amazon HD music streaming.
However, I do appreciate a good open back so I am getting the urge to check out the LCD GX for an open back alternative. However an open back wireless companion to the maxwell would truly be endgame for me.
