    JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread

I still have my Fiio E07k amp\DAC, which is alive and running for portable\IEM amplification, so I think Magni would be better option in my case :) . Speaking of planned obsolescence, E07k screen started to wash out and died completely 2 years ago, not a big deal, i do not use bass\treble boost...

    JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread

That's sad to hear that your SZ' snapped, there is services that make 3d prints using your scheme files, with wide material selection, like this , maybe you still can save your SZ's :) I'm thinking to print some parts beforehand, to be ready when inevitable happens. Mine are still around...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

JVC EU site http://cdn.jvc.eu/szfxz/sz/index.html   JVC JP site http://www3.jvckenwood.com/accessory/sz/   It seems like Z series = EU version of SZ Livebeat series, like with 77x (HA-MR77x\HA-XM30x) , why JVC makes everything so messy

After some tinkering with eq I have better eq suitable for my rig, maybe someone will find it useful   Warning: It sounds good only with hip-hop, maybe dubstep, tried to listen some 80's metal/random OST with this setting, sounds like s...t, worse than flat eq.   Clear Bass +3, Fiio E12 Bass...

Connected with Fiio L5 LOD, so no  volume control from player, only from E12

Yes, they are pretty nice if 40mm is your choice. Thank you cb for all that work and tests, and thanks to all who supported and contributed to this thread, real source of info for real bassheads

Oh man, now i want this white pads, why there is white 44x,55x, but no 77x  They perform well, but I think it's better to add some more and go for 77x. Bought them only for test, I'm ok with SZ2k and 77x, will gift them to cousin or something, so no need for spare pads :)

Post service surprised me - 44x arrived before estimated time. They are so small after SZ2000/77x, looking like a toy. They are distortion free, plastic cups resonate before distortion (like 77x). One book, one medicine can - and here you have it, HA-SR44 paper test (I wish i had better camera...

Thanks, sure they are, here is another vid of it, tested with cbmix, my favourite part is 5:48-6:48         FIRE 40mm CANNONS!   Nice, looking forward to it! I'll have HA-SR44x in 10-12 days, we'll see what JVC cans can do with 40mm drivers :)

Got my E12 - this little amp is real beast compared to E07k, E07k easily feeds SZ2000 for casual listening, but distorts pretty quick with extreme eq'ed bass, with E12 there is no distortion at all. Here is another bass paper test,SZ 2000 with XX pads, connected to Sony NWZ E473 - Clear Bass...

I ordered mine from US Adorama store, so why it is J, JVC, what the hell you are doing with your product names  At the same time, Amazon has 2 versions of 77x - discontinued hamr77x and ha-mr77x  ...

Fooling around with 77x for 2 days - they are really good bugdet bass cans, they are ok with dubstep, boring with acoustic guitars and stuff. Swapped pads SZ2k<->77x - now SZ hits harder, but not hard enough, it seems like E12 is the next think I'm looking for in my guest for extreme bass  Tried...

If 77x will play Massive Attack/Eskmo/Skream like stuff well I'm ok with that (using budget studio Superlux HD669 for acoustic/rock/classical music). BTW, tested HD669 on Wiz Khalifa's track, it seems like studio cans are no-no with paper tests, 50 mm can't move paper before distorting

Just wanted to try 77x\ try 77x pads on SZ2k (2 in 1), if 77x will prove themself okay I'll go for used 55x (another pair of pads) or HM5 pads. I have to import most headphone stuff with forwarding companies, this is why 2 in 1 option seems reasonable to me
