Home-Made IEMs
If you assembled it right it should sound very good. Balanced armatures can produce very good bass. If you have absolutely no bass at all, then something went wrong. You should 1) check if you wired everything correctly, and the components you used are of the correct values; and 2) check if your...- Xymordos

I'm using the 70K DSD filter, and was using Vivid. I can't really tell a big difference but think composite sounds better sliiiiiightly? However I realized I enabled NOS mode from the start as I thought it sounded better when I did my oversampling from my computer.- Xymordos

I had the X20 before and they have a similar sound signature. X30 is much more refined though. X20 was almost "noisy" to an extent. Will test the filter again later today. Currently I mainly convert my files to DSD into the X30.- Xymordos

Personally I prefer the 22955 over the vented woofers, but that is just personal taste.- Xymordos

I've never heard the 9038 so I don't think I can confirm. Also I'm not sure what you meant by the digital touch and uneven harmonics? I think it sounds very good, more detailed than my Accuphase DC91 I would think.- Xymordos

Yeah that's the preorder price I got it for. After some brief listening, I can say they sound very detailed and textured, especially in the mids. Bass is extremely deep and authoritative. Lots of filter choices though, don't have time to test them all.- Xymordos

I used 0.5mm silicon tubes and curled them in, but I remember you'll need a louder driver for this as the tube will roll things off quite steeply (haven't built an iem for quite some time now)- Xymordos
