Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen out now
Haven't been on headfi a while, I have to say! After trying many headphones... Long story short. Last pair of what I would consider mid - high end headphones, that I had was HD660S and then LCD2C At which point honestly, it wasn't as much as the sound, but more the comfort. Either way I found...- WildStyle-R11

Mid-fi heaven?
For me, I like technology. However, what I like about it, is the choice to get it right. So when my demand is met, I am set. Says the guy with 4 keyboards and 5 mice. :D So, for my audio quest it was smooth, but energetic presentation. And I found it. RME ADI 2 DAC Helps a LOT. X2's can just do...- WildStyle-R11

Is Philips Fidelio X2hr ,good update to senn HD 598?
I don't know, I love my X2's. I think they are the perfect all arounder. Everyone's ears and shape of the head is different. So when it actually comes to sound and comfort, only one way to find out sadly. I actually used the pad, I like it that it is there for consistency. I found it funny how...- WildStyle-R11

Mid-fi heaven?
The problem with higher tier headphones, for me anyways... Is that they are too damn accurate and ruin music for me. Toooo easy to detect random artifacts or other garbagio in the recording. VS My Mid-ish-Fi X2's You can detect certain things if you try, but other than that, just sit back and...- WildStyle-R11

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
I think you are looking in the wrong direction then. DT770 is headphone and Penrose is a Headset, even putting that aside it is a "Gaming" Headphone at best. Versus a DT770 which is more of a studio headphone. So by default the tuning on the Penrose is way different, You won't hear the same...- WildStyle-R11

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
So had this for couple of weeks now. The initial impressions were pretty good. But day by day, my impressions are falling. I will start by saying that the hiss these makes is random, sometimes they make a loud hiss, sometimes not that bad. Sometimes loud only on one ear!?? The sound quality...- WildStyle-R11

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
Yeah, they can be a bit sweaty, but you are right, can be worse. Issue I encountered today tho, my friend said the mic is poping. So that is not that great.- WildStyle-R11

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
My head is tiny and I literally have them on the smallest adjustment. I don't find them too tight, on the tighter side, but not clamping on your head exactly. Surprisingly comfortable. Albeit, I do feel them after 2-3 hours... Not enough to want to throw them off your head, I seem to head for...- WildStyle-R11

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
I had my pair for a bit now. No real issues. The first closed back that I don't find annoying? Sounds signature is alright, so Music sounds good too. Haven't really had much problem with connectivity, but it does seem that the connection is pretty fragile. There is some hiss, but most wireless...- WildStyle-R11

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Exactly what I did. I originally didn't like them, found them muffled and bloated. No idea why, maybe amp or something else at the time. I took them out years later after many headphones, I was confused. I'm listening to them and thinking "Wait what? How that happened? These are Magical!". Also...- WildStyle-R11

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Talking about pads, I got the Dekoni Suede. Sound wise, it is different, but rather minor difference, I didn't do A to B, but If it doesn't bother me, it probably didn't do a lot. Tho there is a difference, but since I didn't do A to B, I find it hard to pinpoint, because memory... I kind of...- WildStyle-R11

I feel ya, I really do. I got my speakers that I love so much, but Lately as I have grown wiser over the years... I just feel like or I'm thinking if it is worth it, having all this space occupied by speakers and cables? Not so sure these days as much as I Love listening to music on my speakers...- WildStyle-R11

DAC/AMP/Audio interface combo?
As long as you don't want to listen to all of them at once, it's pretty straight forward. A Dac is all you need... Various ways to do it I suppose, My recommendation would be, keep the clutter to the minimal. I had a PC, PS4 connected to play audio at the same time, the amount of wires I had was...- WildStyle-R11
