Circuit Board in Ultrasone Headphones what is it?
What is this for and will I get better bass if I remove it? It's for the HFI-780s. I love the vocal clarity and spacious sound for a closed headphone. But I miss the sub bass that you get with other headphones like the pro900, but the HFI are much more engaging for music listening pleasure...- WaveRider69

If you need more elaboration on that of which is a very simple question, then you have no idea to begin with.- WaveRider69

beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.
I'm very aware, but I'd rather boost low levels in the EQ than have leather pads. Leather pads are a deal breaker for me.- WaveRider69

beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.
Can we use the dt990 velour Beyer pads on this? Just want to make sure, because the cups look a little larger. Leather is great on jackets and shoes, but for all day wearing headphones the constant scent on your face is distracting. Or anyone know where to buy the pads and headband material...- WaveRider69

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
The performance series is more comfortable than the both HFI and the PRO because the headband and cups are a better fit. The pads are even more shallow than both HFI and PRO and need to be changed to deeper ones. I got rid of the 860s, I didn't like them at all. My HFI-780s sound better...- WaveRider69

Xonar Essense stx Random LOUD high pitched Ringing Noise?
Is it extremely loud for you guys? Mine was excruciatingly loud. I just don't remember if it was left channel only or both right and left channel when it used to happen to me when I had my card a while back. Have any of you experienced any slight loss of hearing damage in the 3khz or 6khz...- WaveRider69

Recommend me a headphone
This is for a gift. The needs are this; Lightweight Closed-Back Low Impedance Comfortable Now regarding sound, the key element I'm looking for is detail. But not in the concern of music. In the concern of vocals. These headphones primary usage is for a language translator so...- WaveRider69

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
Just a quick update on the 860's. I've been listening to them for the past couple hours. Soundstage is in-between the PRO and the HFI series. S-Logic is better on the PRO and HFI series (In my opinion). Though this may have something to do with the earpads being short to the point...- WaveRider69

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
Ok, I will report back tomorrow with details. I figure I should at least give them some break in time. 20 hours isn't 300 but it's still 20 times more than 1.- WaveRider69

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
Let me post back on that in 1 day so I don't give any misinformation. I will let them break in for 18 some hours straight. As of right now though, the bass is lacking big time, they are very bright, and they just sound strange I'm not really sure how to put it. These are with the 860s. My...- WaveRider69

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
Good tip on the pads. I didn't buy mine for bass, more so for quality, detail, comfort, s-logic, and the Ultrasone sig sound. I tried the 580s a while back and definitely preferred their gold & titanium driver models. I use different headphones when I want my bass needs met, which even my PRO...- WaveRider69
