Circuit Board in Ultrasone Headphones what is it?

What is this for and will I get better bass if I remove it? It's for the HFI-780s. I love the vocal clarity and spacious sound for a closed headphone. But I miss the sub bass that you get with other headphones like the pro900, but the HFI are much more engaging for music listening pleasure...

Ultrasone Circuit Boards (what is it?)

If you need more elaboration on that of which is a very simple question, then you have no idea to begin with.

Ultrasone Circuit Boards (what is it?)

Has anyone removed the circuit board in any of their Ultrasone headphones?  What is its purpose?

beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.

I'm very aware, but I'd rather boost low levels in the EQ than have leather pads.  Leather pads are a deal breaker for me.

beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.

Can we use the dt990 velour Beyer pads on this?  Just want to make sure, because the cups look a little larger.  Leather is great on jackets and shoes, but for all day wearing headphones the constant scent on your face is distracting.  Or anyone know where to buy the pads and headband material...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

The performance series is more comfortable than the both HFI and the PRO because the headband and cups are a better fit.  The pads are even more shallow than both HFI and PRO and need to be changed to deeper ones.    I got rid of the 860s, I didn't like them at all.  My HFI-780s sound better...

Xonar Essense stx Random LOUD high pitched Ringing Noise?

Is it extremely loud for you guys?  Mine was excruciatingly loud.  I just don't remember if it was left channel only or both right and left channel when it used to happen to me when I had my card a while back.  Have any of you experienced any slight loss of hearing damage in the 3khz or 6khz...

    Recommend me a headphone

I'm looking at the portable lineups of AKG and Beyerdynamic.  Not sure which to get.  Want the one with the most detail.

    Recommend me a headphone

This is for a gift.   The needs are this;   Lightweight Closed-Back Low Impedance Comfortable   Now regarding sound, the key element I'm looking for is detail.  But not in the concern of music.  In the concern of vocals.   These headphones primary usage is for a language translator so...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Just a quick update on the 860's.  I've been listening to them for the past couple hours.   Soundstage is in-between the PRO and the HFI series.    S-Logic is better on the PRO and HFI series (In my opinion).  Though this may have something to do with the earpads being short to the point...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Ok, I will report back tomorrow with details.  I figure I should at least give them some break in time.  20 hours isn't 300 but it's still 20 times more than 1.

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Let me post back on that in 1 day so I don't give any misinformation.  I will let them break in for 18 some hours straight.   As of right now though, the bass is lacking big time, they are very bright, and they just sound strange I'm not really sure how to put it.  These are with the 860s.  My...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Good tip on the pads.  I didn't buy mine for bass, more so for quality, detail, comfort, s-logic, and the Ultrasone sig sound.  I tried the 580s a while back and definitely preferred their gold & titanium driver models.  I use different headphones when I want my bass needs met, which even my PRO...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Not a lot of talkers in this thread.   Just got my 860s.  They sound like ass.  My HFI-780s blow them away.   The one good thing, they fit like a glove, the way they should, they are so damn comfortable and isolate awesome without that weird echo sound.   How much better do these get with...

A deal came my way today on the 860s for $312 brand new so I grabbed them.  Something tells me I'm going to like these.

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Are the 880s really a significant upgrade to the 860s?  Is like the difference from the HFI-780s to the Pro 750s?  Ultrasone's version of Gold to Titanium drivers, from my experience the 750s are phenomenally more clear and detailed than the 780s.  But the 750s required a 6dB 6-8k drop for...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

I don't think they look bad at all.   I think some people are overly concerned with aesthetics of headphones.  Headphones are about great audio and the internal connection within that they give you.  I don't give a rats what they look like.  Sound and Comfort far outweigh how a headphone...

    Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Review

Another thing I found really strange with them is they are fatiguing even at low volume levels.  Not in the way of sibilence.  In the same way that noise canceling headphones give you that strange feeling after a while.  Even though the COP's aren't active noise canceling.  I gave them an honest...
