Ultrasone Circuit Boards (what is it?)

Has anyone removed the circuit board in any of their Ultrasone headphones?  What is its purpose?

If you need more elaboration on that of which is a very simple question, then you have no idea to begin with.

He's asking what model headphone so he can tell if it's ANC or wireless because normally no headphone would otherwise have a "circuit board." A speaker might, because most speakers aren't single fullrange driver designs (which is what nearly all headphones are), and when it does it's often a crossover, unless it's a powered speaker in which case that would be the amplifier.
