Stax SRM-T1 Repair, Re-Cap, Mod
I think I would need a skilled person to do it for me. I'm ok with soldering simple circuits like crossovers, but I probably wouldn't attempt this. I'm in the UK.- vintageaxeman

Stax SRM-T1 Repair, Re-Cap, Mod
Thank you for that wonderfully detailed reply. Mine is the 007Tii. It’s a secondhand unit so it’s not under warranty. What are my options for getting this mod done?- vintageaxeman

The Stax Thread III
I'm thinking of upgrading my Stax amp. Please can anyone confirm....? Are Stax Lambda headphones with the 5 Pin Pro bias all fully interchangeable with any of the various Stax amps with the same socket? (The specs of some of the amps suggest that they might have different bias voltages, and I...- vintageaxeman

SPL PHONITOR 2 NEW HEADPHONE AMP
Even ATC used to use the opposite way to the current way that they wired their XLR sockets. So I'm not surprised that other equipment does the same. It's easy to get right. Just find an electronics engineer who can re-solder the two switched pins on the XLR plugs. Also, someone else commented...- vintageaxeman

SPL PHONITOR 2 NEW HEADPHONE AMP
SPL PHONITOR 2..... LEHMANN CUBE SE.... PS AUDIO DLIII DAC.... If +/- 60v (ie 120v swing) is what SPL have determined for their circuitry that allows such fabulous performance (s/n ratio is amazing) then why question if it is necessary? I have a Lovely Cube which had originally been...- vintageaxeman

SPL PHONITOR 2 NEW HEADPHONE AMP
I also have a phonitor 2, and have the same issue. I did look at a passive splitter and realised it was not the thing to do. I use big ATC Active speakers. I also have a Focal sub ready to go, but of course the Phonitor 2 only has one output. I have bought a second hand active unit which will...- vintageaxeman
