You won't "Shred the unit", you may kill the flash where the F/W is stored. You can then just order a new f/w chip from Audio-gd. Your location may make the shipping not worth it ;)- undersys

I was looking at doing the same I assume we need to solder some wire from "somewhere" to the Amanero card, not too worried about that one. As for the MCU issue , not sure. I am a bit worried if there is no MCU update since all the other DAC's got that. So thus far I held off, I might order...- undersys

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-3
For the life of me I can't find the post, but I though the HE-9 still had some issues that King-wa was sorting out? Was a post on head-fi... I can say I love my LCD3 and M9 combo, but that is just IMO :) Nor have I heard your amps with the LCD3.... soo- undersys

Yep same, unscrewed the top black screws. Then pulled the head band up on each side as if I was extending it, popped off, done. Agree, I had mine on low ring count, now its closer to middle.- undersys

The LCD leather support band was VERY well $ spent. Not that I got pain from the LCD3's but they feel SO much lighter on my head now.- undersys

Thanks for the explanation. Not that I found the LCD to be very uncomfortable, unless its say hours on end then it starts to get a little. Sadly for me the ebay listing won't ship to Hong Kong.- undersys
