'My' CMoy
I've been wanting to build a Cmoy that uses a TLE2426 railsplitter so this seemed like a great place to start. I used the PCB design by guzzler and modified it slightly. I added a diode and an LED on the board. These two items make the powersupply section look like a MINT (my next project). I...- Tobrew

'My' CMoy
I've been planning to build one just like this and just might use your PCB. I notice that R4 and R5 are jumpered. Why? Also, what are the values on the other resistors? Does this follow the standard CMOY resistors? Thanks for the great post Guzzler.- Tobrew

Hidden cigar box in amp form?
Thats a pretty tall order if you don't really have a workshop or access to the proper tools. You will most likely have to buy an off the shelf enclosure, Lansing Enclosure model GrayBox style A in black, and then modify it to you specs. It will take a bit of work but it can be done. the link...- Tobrew

All-Acrylic Case Prototype Model (56K Warning)
You might try a cold cathode tube to light the entire case. They are often used in computer case modding and can be found locally at CompUSA or Bestbuy. However, the DC/DC converter and tube might emit noise that could get in to the audio. They are cheap, $15 US, so it might be worth a try.- Tobrew

my cmoy not working (56ker warning)
Your soldering looks a little rough. It looks like you might have a few solder bridges between traces. Make sure nothing is touching that shouldn,t be.- Tobrew

Pictures of my new Clones - 56k beware
Thanks guys. They were fun to build and let me get some practice on wiring and panel layouts before I attempt to build a PPA.- Tobrew

Op-amp oscillation testing
How do you test an op-amp for oscillation and what are the symptoms of an op-amp that is oscillating? Also, if it is a two channel op-amp can you get oscillation on just one channel?- Tobrew

Questions: Enclosure drilling, connectors, and more!
I have to second JMT's post. The Unibit is THE way to go. It works great in wood also. They are a little pricey $17-36 US dollars depending on what range you get, but well worth the money.- Tobrew

Pictures of my new Clones - 56k beware
Here are some pictures of the two Clones that I built. I tried to keep them as close to authentic as I could. I made my own circuit boards and poplulated them with Solen Caps, NJM-4556 op-amp, Vishay resistors, RS-Alps Pot 100k, I also used Neutrik 1/4" jacks. The boxes are old cigar boxes a...- Tobrew

I like the regular jack. It gives a much cleaner and classier look. Not nearly as cluttered.- Tobrew
